Luxury coastal villa with jacuzzi & sauna

Ruim en schoon

• The house offers sufficient space for overnight stays for 14 people and additionally allows visits from 6 more guests. • There were enough parking spaces in front of the house. • There were sufficient toilets and shower facilities for the number of guests. In the two relatively modern shower rooms, we unexpectedly found small complimentary care kits. • The mattresses and bedding accessories were fine.The kitchen is well equipped. • The glass cabinet in the living room contained nice dishes for dips/snacks and a very generous selection of glasses for different beverages. • The living room furniture was pleasant and provided enough seating options. • Both the indoor layout and the outdoor area offer plenty of room to find a private place to relax while also allowing everyone to sit together comfortably at the large table without feeling cramped. • It was also very nice that, in addition to the usual garden furniture (tables/chairs and parasols), there were enough sun loungers available. • The short walk to the beach was pleasant.

• Out of the four toilets, only two could be locked (the one in the hallway and the one in the garage). • Neither of the shower rooms could be locked. We even made our own “occupied” signs to avoid uncomfortable situations. • The staircase to the upper floor is extremely steep with uneven step heights. Some of the steps (the second from the bottom and the first from the top) are not securely fixed and move when stepped on. This presents a serious fall hazard. The steps wobble under your feet. • Additionally, the upper staircase railing has come loose from the wall. If one tries to hold onto the handrail, it wobbles dangerously. • The emergency exit in the bedroom was blocked by a stair gate. • The showers are missing proper controls (which appear to have been ripped out or are no longer identifiable) for switching between the rain shower and the normal shower mode. • Kitchen: We barely dared to open the dishwasher door. The base underneath appears swollen, and almost every time the door was opened, a piece of the base broke off while the entire dishwasher shifted within its frame. • The free Wi-Fi was not available. The Wi-Fi password provided did not work. We contacted the landlord by email regarding this issue but never received a reply. • Garden: Both available parasols were broken. • There were several safety hazards in the outdoor area: the plastic coating of one parasol stand had broken off with sharp edges exposed. • Small wooden trim boards had fallen from the roof cladding and were lying on the ground with nails pointing upward. • A metal edge profile at the border of the artificial grass in front of the jacuzzi was bent upward, creating a tripping and cutting hazard. • The rattan furniture could not realistically be used without collapsing. Large holes in the weaving were clearly visible.
