Vila Nico is a very welcoming home away from home!

We really liked Vila Nico a lot. The hosts were soooo friendly! At the time we arrived, they were on a weekend, but the grandmother helped us in (which we knew before, we didn't mind). And since the grandmother only speaks Romanian, they organised an English-speaking friend to stop by and ask us if everything was ok. This was not necessary, since we could somehow talk to grandmother with feed and hands and face, but it was still a very very nice gesture! We had a really nice and spacious room, with air conditioning. It was spotless clean. When we arrived, the towels were folded into swans and there was a candy on each pillow. We felt like we arrived in a 5stars-hotel. The kids really liked it. :-) Also the common kitchen was very nice and well equiped. And I want to emphasise how nice the hosts were. There's 4 generations living together, and all of them made us feel so welcome and they tried to make us feel at home. F.e. we had had a lot of laundry, and Nico just offered us to wash everything. We were really grateful for that. Nico's husband explained us a lot about Romanian history. And Violetta, the grandmother, took our kids berry picking. There's quite a lot to do in the region. We spent 5 days there and could have used more. We visited the bison reservate, Bolii cave, Corvin castle, Deva castle, Sarmisegetuza (aks Nico's husband about the history, he knows so much about it!), walked in the woods,... There's plenty to do! And also Hateg is a cosy village. So, just a quick summary: go to Vila Nico. You won't regret!
