The hotel surroundings and the layout of all the apartments/rooms The monkeys - the restaurant was spacious and the choice of food was good. The à la carte restaurant food was excellent, 10 out of 10 - Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I like the atmosphere and the overall feel of the hotel you felt as if you were in Kenya the entertainment was brilliant especially The performances, the dancers and the singers.

There really isn’t much that I could say I didn’t like- maybe a couple more à la carte restaurants would be good.

I spent 3 day and I loved the location, food and the rooms. The staff is also lovely and welcoming. There are also many activities that keep you busy. The night shows were also very good.

Stayed for 3 nights in Superior room of Maridadi wing. Hotel has a beatiful location, the whole area is park-green and well maintained. Facilities an rooms are generally a bit worn out, which is ok for 50 year old establishment. All-inclusive meals are moderate at best, if you have stayed in similar hotels in Egypt, you know what to expect. Yet on a positive side is good variety of fresh fruits and quality choice if alcoholc beverages. Service is relatively poor, as you are expected to tip on every step to get any attention. But this becomes almost a norm after a week in Kenya when you get used to constant flow of people trying to sell you stuff or services.

Most disappointing and irritating about the stay was the requirement to pay 75% of the "standard rate" (whatever that is) to keep the room for late checkout. Me and my wife had a late flight and wanted of course to spend the last day of the vacation with reasonable comfort. First we were informed that our room is not available and we needed to move. After several talks with personell we could finally keep the room, but for a payment of 300 eur, that is to be able to keep the room for 7 hours: so 43 eur per hour or approximately 900 eur/night. And observe that this is not a 5* hotel. Not quite sure if we were again expected to tip someone to get reasonable conditions, the whole situation left a plain blackmail vibe. Vacation mood spoiled!
