Veranda Syros House

The breakfast food was superb and very very plentiful. Too much for us to eat! The view from the balcony was probably the best on the island! Beds comfortable and air con efficient. The garden across the pathway was beautiful and the jacuzzi is wonderful. The hosts kept the garden fridge supplied with wonderful home made chocolate cake for afternoon treats. It was carefully cleaned and linen changed regularly. We hoped for an easier walk into town as one of us has mobility problems and another has sight impairment. Veranda Syros House is set above the town and very hilly with lots of steps. There is an hourly bus up and down and taxis are possible. For those with normal mobility and sight, it was fine to walk up and down in ten minutes. The host met us at the port and returned us there on departure. The hosts are the most delightful family and nothing was too much trouble.

The location made it harder for the visitor with mobility problems and the one with limited sight. These are personal limitations that would not apply to most people. For a few days, we had additional family guests and the bathroom can only be accessed from the third bedroom by going through one or the other of the two main bedrooms. If children were sleeping there, it would not be a issue but little more difficult for an adult only group with more than two couples.

The views were amazing. Location great close to town. Very spacious apartment and very clean.

This was our second stay here in 7 months and we are already looking to return in 2027. This could well be an annual event as we love it so much and the hosts are simply the best people. As before, the amount of food that they had prepared for us was incredible and such a lovely thing for them to do. We were collected by the hosts who drove us to their property which is exceptional and the views from the veranda are outstanding . From the veranda we were able to gaze over the sea to the islands of Paros, Naxos and Mykonos- some view to have ! Within a short 5 minutes stroll we would be in the town centre which has fabulous restaurants/bars and shops. A beautiful town and Island. And to cap it all, is their wonderful shady garden and jacuzzi to enjoy which was lovely in the early evenings. We will be back !

Our stay at Veranda of Syros was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and welcomed. The views were breathtaking and the accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly made the experience special was the warm hospitality — it felt like staying with family the way we were welcomed and made to feel at home. If you get to experience Alexandra’s cooking you are in for a treat, the homemade food was to die for! Waking up each morning to the sights and enjoying evenings on the veranda or in the hot tub was unforgettable. We left with beautiful memories and would happily return again.
