A cute "mother-in-law"/kitchenett over the main house's garage. Just right for a quick trip with plenty of activities in the Gorge to fo do.

This property was clean, comfortable, private, and had room for our family of 4. The only downside is that there was not a blanket for the pull out sofa, and the lighting in the bathroom made it difficult for females to get ready for our son’s wedding. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

We stayed 2 nights here. This VRBO was comfortable and as described. There is a lovely river view from the bedroom and a very nice covered porch at the entry. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. He offered early check in and late check out, which was lovely. We accidentally took one of his towels and he made it easy to plan for how we could make it right.

Had a very comfortable and enjoyable few days here in July. The apartment is a good size, is comfortable and has everything that we needed for the duration of the stay. Michael was a great host and it was lovely to be able to chat with him when we arrived. The view from the bedroom window is also pretty spectacular.

We had a very nice White Salmon/Hood River weekend with this condo being home base. My only regret is the beautiful view was behind us. Not accessible from our outside area. We did have a nice garden to enjoy while sitting outside.

We stayed at Michaels place during our trip through White Salmon. The casita is small unite above their garage. The owner lives on the property next to the unit. The unit has a small living room and kitchen that is well stocked with the basics. Simple breakfast and dinner can be made. The shower door is unique but nothing you can't get used to quickly. The property sits above the town of White Salmon and is about a 5 minute drive down to the main street area. The town is very cute and quant and has plenty to offer. The views from the local street has amazing views of Mt Hood on a clear day and is very quiet in the evening. One note on the unit, is while it state there is an AC unit inside the rental its in the living room area and a small desk fan is used in the bedroom for ventilation as well as the large windows. Not a deal breaker, but on a hot summer evening could be an issue. Would recommend for future renters

We're frequent visitors to the Hood River area who've recently become enamored with White Salmon. Of course for its relative quiet compared to the chaos of Hood River, but also for the cool town itself and the easy access to not only Hood River, but also the beauty found on the less-visited north side of the Columbia. And staying at this place only further cemented our belief that White Salmon is the place to stay when visiting the area. The apartment is very clean, well stocked, an easy one mile walk to the town center, and as a bonus is also pet friendly for those who wish to travel with their pets. Even though we were travelling with our young dog, we'd absolutely stay here if we weren't. And that's not always the case with pet friendly places to stay. The owners are very accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome while still providing us privacy. We will definitely return.

We were very comfortable in the VRBO. It felt like a treehouse with trees all around and a view into them. It was quiet! We took advantage of downtown White Salmon some evenings, or cooked at home. We had everything we needed, and Mike was very gracious about checking in to see that all was well. We would definitely stay there again.

The loft rental was perfect accommodations for us on our visit to the Columbia River area. After a little curve ball with our arrival (mixed up dates of arrival), Michael bent over backwards to adjust and get the unit ready and make our stay rewarding and memorable. Situated in White Salmon and with panoramic views of the Area, this unit is perfect for couples traveling in the area. I would highly recommend this property and plan on staying here in the future.

When we walked in the first thing that I said was “This is the cutest place ever!” It was the perfect place for our family of four. Great living space to hang out, play board games and watch a movie. Air conditioning was fantastic to have while the temperature outside hit 112 degrees. The patio was a nice place to hang out as well. Kitchen has everything you need if you choose to eat in. Very quiet too. Fortunately we brought a couple of indoor fans as the bedroom wasn’t cooling off from the air conditioner that is located in the living space. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

The place was very comfortable and extremely clean. We had everything we needed. The directions on how to find the parking spot was a bit confusing. The only drawback on the kitchen was the absence of an exhaust fan, but perhaps they don’t expect guests to cook. We thought a binder with local restaurants and points of interest in White Salmon would be helpful. A little information regarding the unit would be nice - where to empty trash, recycle etc. having said all that, we would stay again!

This well priced cute little apartment is in a lovely neighborhood, there is a nice front porch and outstanding peekaboo view of the gorge out the bedroom window. The green leafy trees all around give it the feel of a tree house. It was just right for the two of us and our two dogs. The overall condition was clean if a bit well worn. It had all the basics we needed but a few things we wish we had known: There was no smoke detector that we could see, which was concerning, especially because the microwave and toaster oven are tucked in a cupboard under the eaves and the apartment is over a garage where flammable items may be stored. The outdoor grill was too funky and rusty to use. Finally, the sheets and towels smelled very strongly of scented laundry products. This may not bother everyone, but in the future I will ask the owner about this before renting a property.

This is a great spot! The place is small (~500 sq ft if I had to guess), but there is a nice separation between bedroom and living/kitchen area. The porch faces away from the house so you still have quite a bit of privacy. The kitchen came stocked with everything we needed too. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of lighting over the stove. It’s tough to see what you’re doing when it’s a rainy day/dark outside. Would return again!

The apartment was nicely furnished and comfortable, and White Salmon is a lovely little town. The neighborhood is quiet and has nice views of the river and gorge. The rental is essentially the size of a studio apartment, so the four person rating seems a bit ambitious, and the apartment really has no view unless you stand in a tiny corner of the bedroom. Regardless, it was comfortable and warm for a distanced COVID getaway.

Overall very nice. A couple of cleaning issues.....not sure how long prior to our arrival it was occupied but there were cob webs in the sink. Also some coffee mugs and plates were not clean....given,Covid..that was a downer...but we washed them thoroughly....very cool area to walk...would return!
