Nice cosy room, brilliant facilities in the property and surrounding area was lovely

Was in an ideal place just a short walk into town.Was a little bit over priced for the size of the room but bed was very comfy

Room was far to hot we did have a fan but think it needs bigger fan or air con.

The site was quiet and clean. The host was fabulous to deal with. The weather was unusually hot, not the hosts fault, and Helen provided us with an additional fan to help.

Communication was good, plenty of instruction labelling around the property, e.g. how to use the microwave etc. which was good. Well fitted kitchen, fixtures and fittings in good condition. Came around 6pm on Saturday, leaving Monday so could get away with free parking on Norfolk street and then moving the car to the Morrisons car park.

Attic room, at 6,3" (not a giant) this property loses points for the amount of times I hurt my head (sharp edge of window recess, the door closure, smoke alarms etc.). Also basement kitchen/bathroom has limited head room. I didn't realise this when booking otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I'm sure the double room pictures mainly show the non attic room. Floor dirty, surely when cleaning for a change over you should hoover the floor! Didn't give me confidence about cleanliness in general. Noise can be a problem, we had the perfect couple in the room below for the first night. They weren't loud or had long conversations but for the few minutes they were talking (normally) we could hear them. The room below was empty for the second night. Some road noise. Note that this didn't prevent us sleeping but I can see that you could easily end up with guests below that could end up driving you crazy with the noise. Note that the rooms below (next to each other, next to or below the bathroom) could end up being a lot noisier. Certainly when I was in the shared toilet below I could hear my wife walking about overhead. Mattress not great, saggy and springy and seemed to be shorter than a standard double. Garden not representative of the photo. See attached. At this point can't make my mind up whether to give a 5 or a 6. Going with 6 for effort.
