Nice place

A former monastery with a beautiful green atrium. The rooms are modest, but large and very clean. An ideal stop for one night when returning from walking the Camino de Santiago.

Loved my stay, Clean, Friendly, and Well-Located!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Stay in a Clean and Friendly Hostel I stayed in a shared dormitory at Il Chiostro Hostel & Hotel and had a great experience. The room was spacious, clean, with a big shower and toilet inside the dorm, which was very convenient. There are also extra showers and toilets outside the room The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the historical building adds a special charm. The shared kitchen was very useful it had a refrigerator, kettle, and microwave The staff were very kind, helpful, and always available for any questions. The hostel is in a quiet area but still close to the center of Alessandria, which made it easy to explore the city. I’d definitely recommend Il Chiostro to anyone looking for a relaxed and budget-friendly place to stay!

A great place to stay

The location is really central, staff are friendly and the building is unique has the feeling of serenity around the grounds . It's more for the quiet travelers they have a free library and you can rent a bike for a small price to go around the city . The Citadel is well worth a visit . I love the way they are also using the facilities to get children back into books by using performance and storytelling and using their imagination by puppeteer workshops . It's a wonderful place to stay

In the shared dorms I think more showers are needed.

It was really clean and spacious

The staff is only there at certain times, the reception was closed during my checkout. There were no other people at the hostel, or I didn't meet any of those who were there. It felt a bit lonely, not the best option for a solo traveller

Great stay for very good money.

Very great location, interesting history of the place. I could put my motorcycle inside the complex and under roof. The rooms are basic but perfectly reasonable for the price.

On the booking website it did say breakfast is included, but the establishment does not have breakfast capabilities. Apart from this, everything else was great.

An amazing old monastery. It was a great value and the manager was very nice and helpful.

The beds could be more comfortable. No privacy curtains. The furniture is outdated. The check-in wasn't very smooth. They require your passport to be scanned into their computer. This is a big no-no. I was able to object and explain this was not needed.

Staff were so friendly, they really loved that we had come on bikes and were enthusiastic about our journey. Gave good recommendations for local places to eat. Lovely setting inside the old monastery. Rooms very simple as expected for a hostel but comfortable enough. Had secure bike storage available.

No air con in room, which is not unusual in a hostel and we were unlucky to hit the humidity of brewing storm!

Good

We were on a long bicycle tour, seeing the beautiful door and entering its courtyard , this onetime monastery with its garden was a perfect end to a long day.It’s very simple rooms and good location, not to mention the bicycle friendly and helpful management was a delightful experience .

very good Hostel! Located in the middle of alessandria next to the chruch in a old monastry. I came with the bicycle and was very warm welcomed. they have a room to put your bike in over nights! The host gave me good tips to go for some food.

Very good

The hostel is situated on the church grounds, making it an awesome place to stay. When we were staying there was a little multicultural festival going on with live music in the court yard, and we immediately got invited too. The staff is awesome, the rooms large and beds comfortable. It's in the middle of town next to some great cafes and bars, including one vegan cafe with amazing food and smiley staff. Still had an amazing night sleep, as our room was super quiet. (Even though we had all windows open).

The only negative point would be that there is only one female and one male toilet/shower for all rooms. Which means when someone is having an extensive toilet session and shower, you can't use either for an extended amount of time. It also means the toilets and showers weren't the cleanest, as they were in use for quite a bit of the time. We were lucky we are early birds, but I've had quite a few people wanting to use the toilet when I was having a shower unfortunately. Otherwise definitely a great atmosphere and value for money!

RELAX,TRANQUILLITÀ E BELLEZZA A PREZZI CONTENUTI

Una struttura ex-convento nel pieno centro di Alessandria, in un contesto di estrema bellezza e tranquillità. L’ostello si trova accanto alla splendida chiesa da cui prende il nome. Ci sono molti tavolini e panchine dove potersi rilassare e godersi l’aria aperta nella splendida corte interna della struttura. I dormitori si trovano in camere ampie e curate, e la notte la zona è estremamente silenziosa. Il personale è stato estremamente cordiale e gentile, rendendo il mio soggiorno perfetto!

-a mio parere, l’aggiunta di una piccola zona bar con caffetteria preparata al momento sarebbe l’aggiunta ideale per godersi ancora meglio la bellezza e tranquillità della struttura durante il proprio soggiorno.

Soggiorno di qualità e ottimo posto per rilassarsi

Il luogo è storico e caratteristico, ben tenuto e curato. Lo staff disponibilissimo e molto gentile. Le camerate, seppur semplici, hanno tutto quello che serve. Un ottimo posto dove passare qualche notte. Anche la pulizia degli spazi e dei bagni sopra le aspettative.

Forse qualcosa da aggiungere nella zona "cucina" per facilitarne l'utilizzo.
