Nafplion 1841

The location was near the centre of the historic distract of Nafplion. The parking was at the old harbour a short walk to the property. The parking was a challenge due to the shortage of spaces at our arrival time. Once we arrived a nice gentleman came to the property to let us into the building and show us the amenities. The property was in an older multi-unit building. The 1st floor room was a nice size for a couple. It had all essentials in terms of the bath room and bedding. The best thing about the stay was the breakfast. The food and drinks were amazing. We were served on a small top floor patio by a kind older woman who was extremely attentive to our needs. The food was a broad range of sweet and savoury pastries, breads, cheeses, eggs, fruit muesli and yogurt. It was one of the best breakfasts we'd ever had. The surrounding areas had a wide array of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed walking around the harbour area and up on the old ruins overlooking the city.

Parking at the harbour was limited and no parking was available in the old city. We had light bags so the short walk wasn't an issue at all for us. Also the access to the building could have been easier with a keypad entry vs a physical key. This would save the wait time for the key to be delivered while we waited outside.

Care and attention to detail. The room had what you needed for a good stay, only limited by the size of the room. Lovely staff who took great care to make your stay a happy one.

Very compact bathroom, probably needs updating soon as had a couple of leaks.

Our room was in the attic, next to the kitchen and breakfast terrace. We were awake at 7 am as the staff was asleep preparing breakfast and we could hear all the noise. Also, no privacy for us.
