Charming cottage in a farm with views

De rust, een heel aangename terras onder één dak van druivelaars, een heel leuk tuin; de kamers zijn groot en het bed waar wij sliepen heel goed. De ruime badkamer met een aangename regendouche. De gelijkvloers blijft ook fris bij hete temperaturen buiten.

Geen wasmachine, ook geen droogrek. De keuken is heel donker zonder kunstmatige licht.

Le cadre est IDYLIQUE dans ce nids de verdure!Les différentes TERRASSES nous permettent d'en profiter au mieux! Nous nous retrouvons seuls, avec une JOLIE VUE sur les prairies de vaches et de chevaux, à n'entendre que de merveilleux chants d'inombrables oiseaux! Le jardin est clôturé et nous avons pu laissé notre gentil chien profiter,lui aussi,de la BEAUTÉ DU LIEU! La DÉCORATION de GOÛTS contribue à mettre en valeur un BÂTIMENT TRÈS ANCIEN bien revalorisé! MAGNIFIQUE !!

- Des erreurs de COMMUNICATION avec les différents intervenants (confirmation en néerlandais..pas un mot sur le déroulement de la remise des clés ...les propriétaires attendaient...5 PERSONNES NÉERLANDOPHONES..ET PAS de CHIEN...alors que nous avions bien précisé 2 PERSONNES FRANCOPHONES ET 1 CHIEN!)... Bon..rien de grave!Heureusement que les gsm existent ! Ils étaient tout à fait aimables.. - Nous regrettons juste le petit manque de psychologie... Nous demander un SUPPLÉMENT de 14€ pour notre brave vieux CHIEN ..alors que nous savions qu'ils s'attendaient à..5 personnes prêts à"abîmer ou salir"... Quand on paye +- 400€ pour 2 personnes 2 nuits ...demander ce bête petit mais symbolique supplément nous a un peu gâché notre sensation... RIEN de grave mais juste dommage !

Fantastic location with friendly cows in the neighbouring fields. Gimnee is a quaint little village, nice and quiet with charm. The stone house was great, everything you need in the kitchen and a beautiful garden with gorgeous plants and swings and games for the children. There is a brick BBQ in the garden which we fully utilised. The host was lovely and greeted us on arrival, she gave lots of great information including info on walking trails and nearest amenities.

We nearly didn't book this property due to misinformation on the website from the management company, for example, check in time was between 7pm to 8pm, and check out time was stated as 9.30am to 10.00am, essentially losing over half a day's stay. The website also stated in the price breakdown that towels were included in the price and that a damage deposit would be taken on arrival. A mistake was made and the damage deposit was taken at the time of booking, which was annoying but rectified with a deposit refund after calling up Booking.com to complain. The confirmation voucher sent AFTER paying and booking for the house had contradicting information, mainly that towels were not included and that we could check out by 8pm. With all this confusing information, we arrived at the property with no towels and transport home booked too early - had we known about the late check out sooner, we could have returned home at a later time. Luckily, the lovely host was able to loan us some towels. The wifi wasn't great but we were warned about it due to the stone walls, managed to connect on just the first day. The stairs can be steep for anyone with toddlers/young children, and in the master bedroom there isn't a balustrade at the top of the stairs but this wasn't a major issue for us.
