We were warmly welcomed and had a great three nights. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Ideally situated in Péronne within easy walking distance of the Museum and main high street with guest parking on site. Good sized comfortable rooms spotlessly clean with all the necessary facilities and access to a shared fridge. A great find.

Lovely little place to stay in this charming town

I love these small, independently run guest houses. I was made to feel very welcome and looked after. The room was comfortable and clean, and everything I needed in town was just a short walk away. Sad that I did not stay longer.

A little gem of a hotel. What a find x

Beautiful little hotel. Spotlessly clean with a good size room and bed with en-suite bathroom. And all a short 5 min walk to a great selection of bars and restaurants. The host was super helpful and friendly and smiley 😊 also plenty of parking on site. Breakfast was excellent in a really nice period room ( used to be a sorting office) and the homemade jams and warm crusty baguettes

Best stay in Peronne.

Sophie is the perfect hostess. The hotel is so near everything in town. And the town is near many other charming towns and villages. The hotel is charming and has a woman's personal touch. Breakfast was also delicious. Such an unexpected and pleasant surprise.

A great stay on a very hot day!

Very welcoming and charming. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious home made jams (love the apricot and rhubarb). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other travellers. Located close to restaurants, bars and the castle with the Great War museum.

A peaceful place to stop on our way home to Britain.

The room was tranquil and comfortable. Sophie, the owner, was delightful, as was the young man we met, I assume he was her son. Sophie gave us beautiful croissants for breakfast with homemade jam. It was just lovely!

Péronne is a bit down at heel but the hotel alone makes it worth visiting.

Breakfast was excellent, room was very comfortable and shower was very good . The Black Lion is 200 metres from the best restaurant in town so location is perfect.

The access to the driveway isn’t the best with loose gravel and a steep entrance from the road. But that’s picky compared to all the positives.

Great place to stay in Peronne

Sophie was amazing host , we were going to a commemoration of the 1st world war we had to be there at 7am,she made sure that we had breakfast , by organising it the night before! She also recommended a lovely restaurant in town. Thank you Sophie

A great place to stay!

A warm and friendly welcome. Our room was a good size and overlooked the garden. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was lovely. A few minutes walk takes you into the town centre past the WW1 museum. Bars, restaurants, supermarket, boulangerie & pharmacy all in walking distance. Breakfast was superb. Great coffee, tasty croissants, homemade jams and locally produced apple juice awaited us.

I have stayed here on a number of occasions and I always enjoy the experience. The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The welcome is always genuine and fulsome. The breakfast is fresh, and enjoyable. The location is excellent for both enjoying the town and exploring the historic surrounding countryside. Altogether, it's difficult to imagine anyone being disappointed.
