Modern Artist's House near the Eiffel Tower

Everything was great for our stay in Paris. This is a perfect place to come back to relax after being in the mayhem of Paris. A pretty central location to everything you need and good support from the host.

The house was everything as described. We loved having 2 bathrooms and very fun art. The kitchen was really nice. The fish tank was so soothing after a hectic day of sightseeing. They have a brand new washer/dryer that we used several times. The house is not free standing and sound does travel through the walls but we only heard the neighbor's children occasionally. We had a super stay and would stay there again if we ever got the chance. Thanks to the hosts for letting us rent their great house.

The property was as described and just as pictured. Communication with the host was great as we had questions about leaving our luggage the last day, and the host replied immediately. He allowed us to keep our bags at the front and keep a key until later that day when we headed to the airport. Thank you again for that. The check in instructions were easy to follow and we had no issues getting in. There is a detailed book about the house, recommendations, and everything we needed to know about staying there. The fish tank was great too. The house was perfect as it gave our family 4 adults and 5 teens plenty of space to relax after exploring Paris. We were able to grab take out on some evenings and ate comfortably at the dining table. It was also great for breakfast as there are fresh bakeries close by and grocery stores. The washer/dryer machine (2 in 1) allowed us to get laundry done as well. The location is great with 3 metro lines nearby and we used all 3 to explore the city. It is also within 15-20 minutes walking to the base of the Eifle tower. We enjoyed viewing the Eifle Tower just about every night. There are plenty of good options nearby as well. Checkout was smooth as well. I definitely recommend this place for a family of 6+. If I am lucky to visit again and this place is available, I would definitely stay again. The great reviews and pictures convinced us to book, and we are happy we did. Thank you again

Absolutely charming home in a very safe and convenient neighborhood. Very spacious and cozy. Would definitely stay here again; in fact we hope to! We loved the fish and all of the modern conveniences. Great trip!

Emmanuel’s home is amazingly comfortable, equipped with everything a guest might need for a temporary home in Paris. Myself, my son, his wife & their preteen children could not have felt more welcomed right down to a vase of flowers! The kitchen is fully equipped for anything from snacking to cooking, the beds are comfortable, the pictures on the site accurately portray the property. Clothes washing was made easy. We loved coming back to a quiet home with plenty of room to spread out within a quiet residential area after the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. There are groceries, patisseries, cafes, pharmacies, etc. all within short walks. Loved visiting Marche Grenelle which occurs on Wednesday and Sunday morning, also within a short walk—many fresh food items, souvenirs, clothing. Three or four Metro stops within easy reach made getting everywhere easy. Emmanuel is a wonderful and prompt communicator. If any of us return to Paris, we would be eager to stay again if the property were available. You can’t go wrong!

This provided us - an adult party of four - just what we needed. I have to say that my queen bed had the best mattress I have ever slept on. The kitchen contained everything we needed and we cooked many of our meals. Nearby Carrefours market provided for our grocery needs. The only cautionary things are as follows. The stairs to and from the upstairs bedrooms - second and third floor - are quite and persons with mobility issues would have serious problems. the master bedroom is on the third floor, but the nearest toilet is on the second floor. The master bathroom is located on the first floor. This makes for an adventure if you have to get up in the night. The second floor shower is clean, but the step down out of it is abrupt and you will have to be careful - no grab bar. Also, if you are light sleepers, bring ear plugs as this space opens to a courtyard and it was not unusual for neighbors to be up at 11 p.m. and even to 2! That said, I like to sleep with open window and the noise was greatly reduced by closing the window. My wife and I are in our early seventies, so you can see we are old fuddies. Emmanuel was very pleasant to work with. The refrigerator had a foul odor and I suspect a prior tenant let something go too long. We cleaned it, without result. I am sure the host will rectify that and I don’t hold it against him. The new washing machine was also a dryer. It took a while to figure out, but it worked fine. Just expect 2-3 hrs. Wash clothes overnight.

We loved this house! We had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The house is spacious with plenty of room for us and our 2 large teenage boys. The top bedroom has lots of light from windows and skylights, also which can be opened for fresh air. We didn't do any cooking, but it looked like the kitchen was well appointed with supplies. The location couldn't be beat- we were blocks away from the local farmer's market, the subway, multiple bakeries and bistros, and shopping. Emmanuel was accessible by email as soon as we made the reservation, and we had great communication before and throughout our stay. Instructions for our arrival and stay were thoughtful and clear. We highly recommend staying at this wonderful home, and we hope to return soon!

Wonderfully charming artist’s home. We loved the location and ease of accessing the city. Only draw back was the heat, and fans only, no AC which is very common. However, you can’t control the weather! Thank you for a great stay!

Home was in a great location to enjoy Paris life with multiple restaurants, cafes and bakeries in the neighborhood. Nice walk to the Eiffel Tower and very easy access to the Metro.

With the Eiffel tower being such a large part of our draw to Paris, this location was superb! Main floor has a great kitchen / Dining Room / Living room common area. Good restaurants nearby. Amazing ice cream about a 5-minute walk. Would definitely stay here again.

The home is comfortable, quiet and decorated in a very fun style. We had a great stay with plenty of room to spread out. Thank you Emmanuel for being such a responsive host.

We could not have been happier with our stay at rue Fondary. The owner, Emmanuel, was quick to reply to email questions about the house and the neighborhood, and his son met us at the house upon our arrival and gave us a thorough tour and explanations. They both speak English. We were a couple staying with another couple and their 2 children, aged 3 and 7 years of age. The owner provided a high chair as well as a small crib-like bed. Best of all, there were mats and many toys to play with, including a small tent in which the kids could hide! It was ideal. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish in the very large aquarium as well. As for the adults, we couldn't have been happier: there is a mud room upon entering, with a large closet. The living room was large and comfortable, and the dining room could comfortably seat 8 people. There is a full bathroom/shower/bath on the ground floor, with a washer/dryer. The kitchen was large and fully equipped. On the second floor, there is a separate toilet off of the stairwell, and 2 bedrooms, one with its own shower/sink. There is a large bedroom on the top floor, with skylights. There is also a loft-like space overlooking the living room with a small bed. It's not really suitable for sleeping, but the kids enjoyed going up there. The house is bathed in light, and is lush with tall house plants. It's also quiet and we slept well at night. There is a booklet with easily understood instructions in English for the wifi, feeding the fish, how the windows work, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc... and where the grocery stores are (four within easy walking distance), and cafe/restaurant recommendations. There are two boulangeries at each end of the street with many more in the neighborhood. There are three metro stops (La Motte Picquet-Grenelle, Avenue Emile Zola, and rue du Commerce) within a 5 minute walk.. The Eiffel Tower is only a 15/20 minute walk away. The Rue du Commerce is a lively commercial street, right around the corner from the house, and the outdoor market "Marche Grenelle" (market) by the La Motte Picquet Grenelle Metro station is a delight on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. Not to be missed. All in all, we were extremely happy with our experience and with our interactions with Emmanuel and his son. Those who want to stay in a real neighborhood in Paris, away from the tourist areas, yet still easily accessible to them, will find much happiness here.

This home was exactly what our family needed for our weeklong stay in Paris. My older parents and our young kids and the rest of the family fit perfectly and comfortably. The washer with included dryer, the full home with all the necessities, and upstairs view from the windows were notable favorites for our group. The location was also exactly what we wanted- a safe, low key family neighborhood, with a quick walk to everything you need: metro, grocery, food (pizza two doors down, delish Ethiopian, and also Korean! Yum!), shopping, and market. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!! We’ll have to come back. Many thanks to Emmanuel!

The apartment is absolutely amazing, with lovely decor and being near to many amenities restaurants and metro stations the location is very convenient. It was overall EXCELLENT!!!!!!! Thank you so much Emmanuel for being such a responsive host.

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at this property over New Years. The owner was very thoughtful, understanding and excellent communicators, they respond very fast to any messages and were very helpful. The property is very clean, comfortable and practical with all modern amenities for our family of 2 adults and 4 children aged 7-14. The area is excellent, not touristy yet very Parisian with shops and services, restaurants in rue de Commerce nearby, and walking distance to 2 very convenient Metro stops. Would definitely stay here again next time!

The place was terrific with lots of natural light and an open airy feel. Bedrooms were nice and private. Emmanuel was a super great, communicative and welcoming.

A close 20 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and jump off point for bus, walking and water cruise tours. So many restaurants and bakeries within a block or two. Home is welcoming and very safe feeling. Kitchen had all cookware you’d ever need. Communication with owners was swift and very helpful!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

The house is very accommodating and fun for a group of grandparents, parents and kids. It is unusually interesting and spacious, a kind of modern cottage with lots of natural light through the many skylights even though it’s in a courtyard surrounded by taller buildings. The neighborhood is also well located for getting to all the Parisian sights, with far more markets, shops and restaurants than you’ll ever need without being overwhelmed by tourists. We loved our stay and recommend it highly.

We had such an incredible stay. Emmanuel was so thoughtful and swift in his communication, the house is amazing (spacious, quiet, cool, well equipped and filled with art and character) and the neighbourhood is lovely (lots of lovely cafes and bakeries, everything you need on the doorstep) And all just a short Metro ride or a 20min walk from the Eiffel Tower!!! We have had such an incredible time staying here Thank you

We spent a lovely week in Paris. The house is amazing! Great location! Around the corner from the Eiffel Tower and subway. The house is very comfortable and Big for our family of 7! We enjoyed it very much will def be back when in Paris

Just a great overall experience. Communication was clear, the property was very clean and as advertised. 6 of us stayed and were very comfortable. There was plenty of room and the location cannot be beat. The subway is very close and it’s only a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Lastly, there are some absolutely outstanding restaurants within 2-3 blocks. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Paris.

Emannuel opened up their home to us and it did not disappoint. The information for check in was seamless, the place was clean and provided every necessity and the location was right next to a metro stop to explore Paris. If you're traveling with family this is the perfect stay!

We rented the home for a family trip in Paris. 8 of us, including two small kids. The location was wonderful for everything we wanted to do. My kids loved feeding the fish every day and the loft above the family room. It was nice to have a big kitchen and big dining room table to fit everyone. It was good to have so much space to spread out. The hosts were wonderful. They left all the basic essentials, coffee, laundry detergent, some food etc. so we didn’t have to worry about having coffee our first morning before going to the market. Very responsive & friendly hosts. Would recommend.

Fantastic communication from the owners from the beginning and during the stay. Thank you for all the recommendations and going an extra mile to make us feel welcomed and at home. We traveled with a 16 month old toddler and this place was perfect for us: close to a grocery store and all the restaurants, kids playground, metro, Eiffel. One of our favorite things to do was feed the fishes. We can’t thank you enough for everything and we will be back!

This charming house made all the difference in our week-long family trip to Paris. The house was lovely and stocked with everything you need to feel at home. We were able to comfortably relax after long days of sightseeing, cook breakfast in the morning, and watch TV with snacks at night. The check in was seamless, the beds were comfortable, and the area was close to stores, restaurants, and easily accessible from several Metro stations. Would definitely recommend!!

Wow! We felt so privileged to stay in Emmanuel & Joelle home. Felt like we found a secret garden house in Paris. Loved that the house gave us space to be together but also space to rest and have thinking time. The kids loved the skylights and fish tank, they named all the fish and miss them! We loved that we could walk to a bakery on the corner every morning, coffee and easy access to metro, taxi stand down the street by a 8 minute walk. We found a local butcher and enjoyed all the shops by the house. We walked past the Eiffel Tower daily and felt like we were part of a great neighborhood over a tourist area. The owners are so very helpful! Joelle greeted us with such a warm welcome, showed us how things worked in the house, they have a great manual with photo and translation so you can work with dishwasher and washing machine. Our kids loved her and it was a great first interaction for them on their first trip to another country. They provide toilet paper, some milk & coffee, fresh flowers and items from a bakery. We would be delighted to stay in the house again and we made very special memories in Paris. Can not thank them enough for such amazing hospitality! Thank you from North Carolina, USA

We loved our stay! The home owners were wonderful to work with. They thought of everything and the little things really matter (eg. enough linens, dish soap, etc.). The location was excellent! We had a large group - plenty of room for all of us. Highly recommend!

Our experience was perfect! First, the house exceeded our expectations. Not only are the pictures and descriptions accurate, but the interior is so very well furnished and so artistically and elegantly decorated that we were very pleasantly surprised. In French, we would say something like "Ils ont de la classe, ces propriétaires." (These owners are classy.)Second, the house is in a delightful part of the 15ème arrondissement where one gets that "village" feeling rather than the hustle and bustle of Paris. It is very close to la Rue du Commerce, which is filled with (you got it): commerce; patisseries, boulangeries, traiteurs, restaurants, cheese shops, wine venders. etc. etc. etc. It's close to several metro lines, and one can with ease walk to the Champs de Mars and Eiffel Tower. And a special bonus is that the house, being inside a courtyard, is very quiet. Finally, Emmanuel (the owner) is an amazing communicator and is as accommodating as anyone can expect. We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything went smoothly with check-in and check-out. It's a fully and beautifully equipped house - tucked into a courtyard in a real Paris neighborhood (at least three bakeries to choose from within 2 blocks :) ). The weather was terribly hot during our time in Paris and the house was a great refuge. I imagine it would also be a cozy retreat in the winter. Highly recommend!
