Very friendly and hospitable reception upon arrival. Veronique took all the time to show us around and already had the wood stove burning. This created a great ambiance. Everything was in great condition. Veronique offered help in where to go for hiking and was available throughout the stay when necessary.

Superb

The welcome from Veronique and Gary was exceptional. The location provides lots of activities to choose from. Nice quiet end of the lake. The safe bicycling routes are extensive. The champagne producing villages near by are pretty and well worth a visit.

Lovely cottage situated perfectly at the lakeside

Quiet lovely cottage with spacious garden, perfectly situated near the lake and ideal for a visit to the Aube and champagne houses. Lovely couple who runs the place. Definitely a place to go back to.

A lovely cottage with great hosts on a nice location!

Véronique and Gary are very lovely hosts. They gave us a lot of tips about things to do in the area. The cottage is simple but practical, it contains everything you need. Véronique and Gary are busy refurbishing the houses, the first results already looked good. The environment is great. You can walk, cycle, swim and do much more. There are also nice restaurants nearby. A top location to celebrate your holiday.

Unfortunately the weather was a bit disappointing. Then there are fewer things to do. But with good weather this is a top location.

Wonderful - Forêt d'Orient + Troyes

We had a brilliant stay at Cottages d'Orient. As mentioned by all other reviewers, host Véronique is amazing, superpleasant and helpful. The cottages directly face the beautiful lake, and it's a close walk to the beach. On the way you pass the Belvedere, a good restaurant with large outdoor seating areas. Troyes is about 25 minutes by car, we much enjoyed that city, very lively, and lots of beautiful old buildings. It is quite like the city environments in many studio Ghibli movies. The cottages come with some nice extra facilities like a table tennis table, and bicycles which you can rent for 3 euro's per day.

Very cute house and great location. Walking distance to the charming village and the lake. We felt at home and can highly recommend the cottages!

Welcome at the lake

Véronique is an excellent host as she cared so much and offered plenty of activities and also a brilliant BBQ for all of the guests. Really nice stay next to the lake.
