LA FARIO 2 - 3km du Cirque de Gavarnie

Emplacement exceptionnel à 10min de Gavarnie, 15min de St Sauveur. Chalet rustique mais avec tout ce qu'il faut, et quel plaisir de profiter de la jolie vue depuis la terrasse ! Hôte sympathique et serviable (nous avons apprécié sa flexibilité sur l'heure d'arrivée)

Aucune réception réseau dans le coin : penser à demander les informations à l'hôte avant d'arriver car elles ne sont pas envoyées automatiquement et franchement, dans le noir, le gîte n'est pas facile à trouver ! Pas de wifi non plus.

Location is wrong on booking.com (it sends you onto the campsite down the road) Parking space is small if you have a large car. Duvets on beds but no sheets or towels provided. A few things missing from kitchen (cooking utensils). I suspect this is a recently started rental and the owners will get it right in time but not quite right yet.

Property not overlooked. Pleasant outdoor terrace sheltered from the wind

The property needs some maintenance. We were unable to use the kitchen sink for washing up as the plug did not work properly and we had to buy a washing up bowl. After an overnight rainfall there was a leak from the wood burner chimney. Could not get Wi-Fi or TV to work. The kitchen worktops, which appear to be painted laminate, are past their best and need replacing as the paint is coming off in various places and therefore difficult to clean. The bed was not very comfortable and, whilst the owner advises you to bring sheets, we were glad we also provided our own pillows as those provided were poor. It was superficially clean but it appears that the owner relies on outgoing guests to clean for the next and therefore only basic cleaning is done eg the inside of the shower cubicle was clean but the outside, especially around the tray was not. Also found it difficult to locate the property initially as the signpost for a campsite is no longer there and the owner uses this signpost as an indicator of the location so travelling directions should be amended
