Le Tikehau by Pearl Resorts

One of the most incredible places in the world. Not only the mesmerising, beautiful surroundings and location but what makes it so special is people. Staff looking after their guests. It feels like a family, always smiling, happy and so polite. You have spoiled us for ever ! How do we suppose to enjoy anything else anymore after spending most incredible time with you. Beautiful hotel, beach villas are the best in my opinion… white perfect sand and corral beaches full of tropical fish around you. The calm and tranquility is addictive. I loved my short time at your resort and I’m definitely coming back …

Amazing overwater bungalow property on Tikehau. Excellent communication prior to arrival (including concierge bookings of off property activities at competitive rates). Seamless transportation from and to TIK airport (they have a stand at the airport, put you in their vans and get you to their boat). Incredibly friendly staff. Very clean, large bungalow (renovated in last few years) with lovely bathroom, a deck and in floor glass view. Air conditioning was excellent. Drinking water readily available and tastes great. Amazing coral and fish (including sharks) under the bungalow and walkways. Beautiful resort grounds. Very good restaurants and the included breakfast is excellent. Visited in February and while it was hot and a little humid, no significant issues with insects or flies.

After staying at Le Taha'a, Le Tikihau was at first a bit underwhelming. This resort is smaller and less developed than the former and much quieter. But after staying for 5 nights we were truly sad to leave. My wife and I found Le Tikehau to be exceptionally comfortable and personal. From the time the shuttle boat arrived at the dock and were greeted by the staff we felt at home. Raiponi was not the only one, but certainly a major factor in this relaxed and familiar comfort. The director's decision to make Raiponi 'hospitality manager' (though I am not sure this was his official title) was brilliant. His combination of worldly experience with being a local immediately put us at ease. He checked in with us throughout our stay, just making sure we were doing well. However, he was only the more outward expression of the whole staff, from the gardeners to managers. Everyone was relaxedly brilliant. Mahe, Justine and the activiites people were wonderful in rescheduling snorkeling, made necessary by the winds and rain of a not too distant cyclone. The stormy weather, which was a bit of a dampener to activities, did nothing to dampen the grace of everyone or our enjoyment of the place. Our bungalow was at the end of the eastern pontoon. We were fascinated with watching sharks and rays which were even more present during the storms and we enjoyed snorkeling around our bungalow when the weather was good. After several trips were cancelled because of the weather the staff was able to organize a snorkeling trip for us where we snorkeled with mantas at the old pearl farm. This was one of the most exceptional snorkeling trips of our lives. The mantas were magnificent! Finally, the meals at Le Tikihau were uniformly very good, and the fishermans' restaurant was exceptional, both for its enchanting secluded location and the wonderful fresh fish and seafood.

Stayed 5 nights in this absolute dream! 🤩 very well maintained, very high quality of rooms with attention to detail (freshly renovated beach bungalows), warm and welcoming atmosphere thanks to attentive staff who ensures a personal approach to their guests. The whole experience (from day trips to Tuherahera and snorkelling with manta rays) was all just over the top!

Effectively ruined all our future holidays because nothing will ever compare 😅
