If you’re looking to step away from the busy-ness of the world to a place that is tranquil, relaxing, yet has everything you could need and is only a short drive from town, then this is the place for you! Within 24 hours of arriving to the property I decided to extend my stay. This cottage is absolutely stunning, every detail has been thought of and I loved that I could bring my dog with me. Comfy bed, complete kitchen, beautiful fixtures, yummy fresh sourdough, homemade muesli, eggs, butter and milk (plus some Easter Eggs) provided, not to mention that outdoor bath, shower and fire pit! Fifteen minutes drive from Bellingen centre it was close enough to be convenient but far enough away to truly feel like you were the only person in the world. Loved the cows, the creek, the manicured gardens and only a short drive from the most spectacular dog friendly swimming hole on the Never Never River. I can see why they call it The Promised Land! I was provided with so many useful tips and recommendations for coffee, food, drinks, local spots to visit. Absolutely loved my stay and highly recommend it!

A dream little farmhouse in a dream location.

Perfection...is the best way to describe this property. It is in a wonderful location atop a hill overlooking the mountains. Tranquil and quiet, it makes for a great couples getaway. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly sized and had all the amenities you could want. The host even supplied breakfast items which included fresh eggs from the farm. At every turn there were little touches that made the place special. We especially enjoyed the company of the host dogs. The adorable pair would follow us on walks and made us feel at home on the property. The land fronts on the Never Never river and the dogs accompanied us for a swim and a game of fetch. It will always be a lasting memory from our trip.The convenient location allowed us easy access to the town of Belligen where we would have lunch, pick up a tea or shop. It was also a great location for hikes in the Dorrigo mountains and nearby national parks. We also used the nearby canoe outfitter for a wonderful day trip down the river.I would like to applaud the hosts for designing the perfect cottage...maintaining it well, adding the lovely touches and opening up for others to enjoy.
