The property is beautiful

It shows it as if you were right on the beach or near to the beach, but you aren’t. The property is 200+ acres so I would call to verify that what you’re booking is walking distance from the beach vs having to drive to the beach.

The Good 1. 24-hour security. 2. Excellent location with a private beach and several restaurants and bars within the complex. 3. Spacious rooms. 4. Clean and overall well maintained. 5. Plenty of parking. 6. Comfortable beds, and the showers had great water pressure and consistent hot water. 7. The staff was friendly

Second time staying here, and unfortunately, we won’t be back. We stayed in the Jazmin section. The Bad 1. I made a room request six months in advance and was told it couldn’t be guaranteed, which I completely understood. What was frustrating was finding out from two different employees that my request had never actually been added to my reservation. They even admitted that requests are often overlooked. I showed them the text messages and emails confirming my request, but they still told me nothing had been noted on the reservation. 2. The newly built Jazmin section still has several issues. One bathroom had a broken window lock that was never repaired. All of the bathrooms had an unpleasant odor. The internet connection for the TVs was unreliable. There was no microwave, no toaster, and no “Do Not Disturb” sign. I requested one, but it never arrived. 3. One of the main reasons we paid extra for the Jazmin section was the private plunge pool. Unfortunately, it isn’t heated, and even in July the water was too cold to enjoy. 4. The grill on our patio was old and very small, nothing like the one shown in the photos on the website. 5. This feels more like renting an Airbnb than staying at a resort. There is no room service, no in-room phones to contact the front desk, and all communication has to be done through your personal phone using WhatsApp. 6. Every morning for six consecutive days, I sent a WhatsApp message asking that housekeeping and maintenance not enter our room. Every morning they replied that they would notify housekeeping. Yet every afternoon when we returned, the room had been serviced anyway. Communication between departments is extremely poor. It feels like the property is managed by a real estate management company rather than a hospitality company. There is very little attention to detail, and it’s obvious they lack the experience needed to operate a true resort.

The beach access from our room was amazing. The food and drinks were tasty

The distance from town, and the patio door lock was broken. There was construction happening near our room which was noisy at times and left a weird junky background for photos.

Felt very safe in the complex. Pool was nice and clean. Cleaning staff came daily and offered towels and coffee. Kitchen well stocked with plates, pans, cups, utensils.

Although there was a kitchen, almost nothing was available in terms or salt and pepper, oil, or even napkins or paper towels. No basic things for the kitchen. Also realized upon arrival there is no AC in the common areas or kitchen or living room, only in the room. AC or at the very least a fan in the living area would have made the stay so much more comfortable. It was excruciatingly hot even with the sliding glass doors open.
