Great location but comfort could be easily improved.

Fantastic location, staff friendly and helpful.

Noise from upstairs apartment … you could add pads to chair feet to reduce. Beds informally and squeaky. Two broken chairs in apartment. Microwave broken and while reported not replaced.

Pleasant

Nice and spacious apartment.

There is no place to store personal ski equipment. Ski storage is available close to the lift, but we were not given any information about it from the host in advance. No storage is available for private ski boots and you are not allowed to bring them to the room. The dishwasher was broken, but this was neither informed nor compensated. We found out after calling the host in the afternoon when the dish wasn't done. The apartments are quite noisy. Furniture feets would likely improve the noise level.

Bad

This was an expensive booking and yet the bed for us to sleep in was actually an old sofa bed, which curved badly in the middle and was extremely uncomfortable. As a consequence neither of us slept hardly at all, and my neck was so bad in the morning that we were unable to ski and had to cancel the remainder of our holiday having only arrived the day before. We lost a lot of money on the lift passes and ski hire already paid for in advance. I told the host that we were leaving after one night and the reason why, and her only comment was that we could have a free night if we came back again - of course we would never be coming back again, it would have been better to not say this at all!

Good

We had a 2-floor apartment for a family of 4 and it was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it for larger groups. The mountain view was really nice! It is within a walking distance from the village center but for skiing the walk with all the equipment is a bit too far so it is better to reach the slopes by car. Mrs. Elena from the reception is very nice and helpful.

The rooms, or rather separate sleeping corners, were very small, e.g. 1 bunk bed was in a niche of the corridor, and 1 bed on the mezzanine was in a room so low and small that it was difficult to stand there. The slopes were prepared really badly (little snow and a lot of ice everywhere, stones and dirt in many places). We were during Christmas time (high season) so we paid quite a lot for the skipasses and less than half of the slopes were open in the entire region of Vialattea!

A perfect winter getaway!

Elena, the host, was excellent at communicating before and during our stay. The apartment was comfortable, spacious, well-equipped and clean. Once we left our skis at the rental company’s (Marcellin, also highly recommend!) on-piste storage, it was a short walk through Sestriere back to Chalet Edelweiss. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to couples, friends & families alike!

The room was very warm but the heat is adjustable so we were easily able to turn it off & was not a problem :)

The host Elena is super nice, she replied instantaneously by email and text message and had everything well arranged, super uncomplicated and always with a smile.

Breakfast starts too late for my taste, which is outside of Edelweiss responsibility. Breakfast is served in the hotel across the street.

Really excellent value, clean, comfortable unpretentious apartment.

Great value, warm, comfy, spacious, unpretentious apartment, which we booked very last minute. Great view of the mountains. Lovely and clean. Good kitchen facilities, nice warm shower, well-equipped. Free parking nearby. A 5 minute walk to the ski slopes (but Sestriere has a great system where you leave skis and boots at the slopes and walk back and forth in your ordinary shoes). Elena, the manager, was lovely and extremely helpful. British Airways cancelled our flight on the way home and we were allowed to stay in the apartment until our much later flight - ' no problem at all'. Would definitely return.

Not much. Only small criticism would be wifi was a little patchy when everyone was back home after skiing; one of rings on the hob was broken. Fan in the bathroom also didn't seem to work. It's not a 5 star luxury apartment but if you want a comfortable, functional family apartment, which is excellent value, this could be for you.

Had a fantastic time !

Ski lockers by the slopes meant we didn’t have to carry our skis very far. Apartment very clean.

There wasn’t a kettle. We did ask for one but didn’t get one. The cups were tiny so we had to buy our own mugs. There was only a very small saucepan and a huge one. Very few plates, cutlery, no bread board etc. Given that there is an oven and dishwasher, the apartment is perfect for self catering but unfortunately not enough pans etc. to do the cooking.

Brilliant location near a twin square with shops and ski hire and little super market and 5 mins from slopes. Elena host was very lovely and helpful. Amazing value for money and spotless rooms.

Very good

Very spacious, bright apartment with a mountain view. Very clean. Nice bedding, comfy beds, big wardrobe, termostat to regulate the temperature in the apartment.10% discount and at the ski rental (rent and go) with heated lockers. Elena at the reception very nice and helpful. Free public parking 50meters from property, we didn't use our car for the whole week, walking distance from everywhere, 10 min walk to the slopes. Great value for money, we had a fabulous stay in Sestriere and we'd come back to Chalet Edelweiss.

No ventilation, no windows that you could keep opened, just big balcony doors, becomes very hot in the night. No dishwasher tablets provided. No big supermarket in the village so best to bring your supplies. There is a microwave, cooker and oven but would be nice to have a kettle or toaster. Sockets not by the bed so bringing an extension lead or two would be a good idea.

Great stay for a ski holiday

Elena was very helpful and knowledgeable, location was excellent and a 2 min walk into the centre and ski lifts... the chalet even supplies a free ski box to keep skis in at the slopes over night to save carrying them the room was very clean and spacious and offered all the amenities that were required for self catering.

there wasn't really anything we didn't like, if I'm being picky then the beds were not the comfiest to sleep on
