About this apartment rental
Just renovated guest quarters in a modern home in the exclusive Montecito section of Santa Barbara. Private entrance. Easy street parking.
Over 400 square feet. Steam room shower, mini-refrigerator, microwave, queen bed / real mattress, 65' Samsung flat screen TV and Blu-Ray DVD player.
Free wireless internet.
Private patio area.
Guests must descend a dozen stairs to enter.
No air conditioning. Nor is there in the main house where we live. Rare in Santa Barbara houses due to its coastal location. This was never an issue for years but last few summers have had some record-breaking heat. We provide a powerful Dyson tower fan and an auxiliary fan which will make room comfortable if there is a “heatwave”. This is a rare rare occurrence.
House features views of Montecito Peak and is in a remote tranquil canyon.
The Pacific Ocean (beautiful Butterfly Beach) - 3 miles.
Closest restaurants / ATM / food market / pharmacy (Coast Village Road or the local's Upper Village) - both 2.5 miles
Downtown Santa Barbara (shopping, movies, museums, dozens of restaurants) - 3 miles.
Santa Barbara Mission - 4 miles.
Westmont College - 1.2 miles.
UCSB and Santa Barbara Airport - 12 miles.
Wine County (Santa Ynez Valley) - 30 miles.
Montecito is home to 'the Dude', Oprah, Sonny Crockett (if you are old enough to remember) and can be yours for the week or weekend.

Nice place to stay in the hills of Montecito. For the price it is much better than a local hotel and you get to experience more of the area besides just downtown SB. Our trip wasn’t really a “getaway” just needed a clean, quiet, semi close to SB place to sleep and it checked all those boxes.Thank you!

Great choice: comfortable, has everything you need plus a shower which also serves as a steam room. Drive time into Montecito and Santa Barbara is 15-20 minutes, although you must drive carefully at night because it is on a mountain road.

My stay truly exceeded expectations in every way. The location was perfect, the property itself was beautiful, and the accommodations were exceptional. Lisa and Chris were wonderful hosts—welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful throughout our visit. If you’re planning a trip to Montecito, this is a spectacular place to stay. I highly recommend it!
