I would stay at Hotel Keil again but only because of its premium location

Hotel Keil is located on famous Marktstraße, near the better end at Virchowstraße. No other hotel in town enables you to walk right out onto Marktstraße (shops, restaurants). Karstadt (a large department store) unfortunately closed, but the Nordsee Passage (you can call it a "mall") is a short distance away. The train station and bus terminal are also within short walking distance.

I stayed at this hotel two or three times already, but 35 or more years ago. Frau Keil was the owner; she ran the hotel and restaurant with enthusiasm. Now? There is no one at the hotel. It's all DIY, from getting your key at the main entrance (lockbox) to getting checked in. The name "Keil" is no longer significant; it's just the name. No idea who runs the hotel. The overall experience was unfortunately disappointing. The room had cheap furniture. The shower was cramped. The bed was a frame with a thin foam mattress. The Roku TV device required frequent re-connection to wifi just to watch TV. Frustrating.

located just few steps from Wilhelmshaven train central station. unique check in by using like puzzle solving before entering hotel. Hotel sent a secret code through email and how to use it. really it was unique. quite hotel and clean.

Very good hotel within easy walking distance of the railway station.

First and second floor hotel with compact but very clean and comfortable room overlooking one of the main pedestrian areas, although this was relatively quiet early in the week. Bathroom compact but fully equipped. Good continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Very prompt laundry service and staff very cheerful and willing. A few minutes' walk from the railway station.

Instructions on key retrieval required a couple of 'phone calls on arrival, but process was straightforward enough.

It was a very big room, and breakfast was very good. For us it didn't matter if we were close to the city center, but if you visit the city, you are very central with this hotel.

parking of the hotel is 200m away, but that's "normal" in the middle of the city. As it was very hot during our stay, airconditioning in the room would be very welcome.

Man hat sich als Gäste nicht willkommen gefühlt

Lage

Es war als Doppelzimmer gebucht, aber bei Bezug nicht für 2 Personen fertig gemacht. Heizung funktionierte nicht, war sehr kalt. Bett war nicht gemacht und es fehlte 2. Bettzeug. Das musste man sich aus einem anderen Zimmer holen. Die Unterkunft war daher nur die Hälfte wert. Nichtmal ein zweiter Kaffeebrcher war vorhanden um sich wenigstens einen Kaffee zu machen. Kein Personal vor Ort und nicht mal am Ort( hätte eine weitere Stunde gedauert). Wir mussten zu einer Abendveranstaltung und sind zu spät gekommen, weil uns alles Zeit gekostet hat. Im Bad nur ein Zahnputzbecher , nur eine Nachttischlampe. Ich habe erwartet ( weil kein Personal da war ) das ein Umschlag mit meinem Namen darauf wie verabredet an der Rezeption hinterlegt wird. Es waren Notfallzimmer, der Buchungszeitraum auf dem Anmeldebogen stimmte nicht. Es sind keine Parkplätze vorhanden. Für Behinderte mit Rollstuhl absolut ungeeignet. Das Hotel kann man nicht weiterempfehlen. Wenn kein Preisnachlass gewährt wird, werde ich nie wieder über Booking buchen.

Wer dort nur schlafen und günstig unterkommen möchte, ist dort richtig.

Die Lage direkt in der Fußgängerzone und am Bahnhof geht nicht besser. Wasserkocher und Kaffee/Tee auf dem Zimmer. Top. Frühstück ging so. Sehr eng am kleinen Büffet, teilweise billige Produkte. Aufbackbrötchen!

Zimmer zum kleinen Innenhof, der auch den Raucherbereich darstellt. Dieser war vielleicht mal schön, ist aber nun stark überholungsbedürftig.

Gute empfehlenswerte Unterkunft in WHV

Vor allen Dingen die supernette Rezeptionistin. Ich fühlte mich sehr willkommen. Das Zimmer war ruhig zum Innenhof. Bequemes Bett, kleines Bad. Vinyl Boden sehr gut. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral. Vor der Tür ist ein schöner Park. Alles tipitopi!

Der Teppichboden auf der Treppe riecht sehr, sehr muffig. Den müsste man wirklich mal austauschen.

Pure magic ;)

Dafür, daß ich niemanden zu Gesicht bekommen habe, war alles wunderbar hergerichtet: Es blieben keine Wünsche offen. Dienstfertige unsichtbare Geister - wie im Märchen :) hat super funktioniert! Vielen Dank dafür, ich komme sehr gerne wieder 🤗 Auch die Terrasse ist schön angelegt.

Fällt mir nix ein - für gehbehinderte Gäste könnte der Duscheinstieg (in Zimmer 18!) zu hoch sein; für mich war’s einwandfrei!

Wlan klappte zwar aber Internet war ausgefallen. Daher auf öffentliches Internet Wlan ausgewichen. Fernseher funktionierte zwar, aber kaum Programme, nicht mal ARD und ZDF. Da war irgenein Programmsalat.
