Scam people with the location, rooms are bad

The location is perfect,

for 215 Euros per night they gave us a room with a window that overlooks at the inside of the hotel specifically the stairs, no way of airing the room or even opening the curtains because the guests will see us sleeping if they walk by the room

It was ok for a night but we’d pick different if we knew it was like that.

Location is amazing.

Condition of the room was rough. Worn carpet, damage to walls, closet door had broken hinge, size was very small. Window view was nonexistent.

The hotel is not available for the families with baby. To reach elevator, you must use stairs. There is no gift, such as a bottle of water in the room. The rooms is not similar as pictures, too small. Personnel is not helpful.

Only the location was good

My room was literally in the attic , very small , not comfortable at all , I had to take a lot of stairs and an outdoor passage to reach my room , no elevators.. wasn’t very clean ..

Cold room in the heart of the city

Location is perfect,, at the center of the city.

Cold. Room is cold. Breakfast restaurant is cold. The air condition is not working. I said it hundred times and they brougt a radiator to room. So we could warmed up.

Not value for money very disappointing

The location is the best.

The room was awful. We were in loft room, very low roof and very steep steps and very hard. Air con turned off, dirty carpet. And poor breakfast offering .

Extremely expensive due to Christmas Market season (x3 the average cost) so definitely not value for money. Lovely build

Room tired and grubby in places. Heavily stained and dark carpet, dark furnishings, dimly lit and tiny window in a recess so giving off next to no daylight. One member of reception staff rude and patronising. Others very pleasant.

Central location, great place to stay for any occasion in Strasbourg

The location was amazing. We had a Cathedral view and it was beautiful to admire. It was a central location and close to lots of restaurants and shops. The room was perfect for us and included lots of lamps and sockets. It feels a step back in past due to the dated rooms and door lock. The hotel staff were amazing. I like the security since we went for the Christmas Markets. In the evening, they would open the front door and also check to make sure you’re the hotel guests. As well as, ask if anything is needed during your stay. The housekeeping were friendly too.

The hairdryer is quite dated. It’s the classic wall-mounted hose style, so be aware it isn’t very powerful. Also, while the front desk is on the lobby level, to reach the elevator that takes you to the rooms you must climb one tier spiral staircase first. There is a second spiral staircase once you reach the first floor if you prefer stairs over the lift. I didn’t know this beforehand, so just sharing in case mobility or luggage is a concern for you.

Excellent location, awkward layout

Location was excellent, cant get any closer to the Cathédral and the Christmas markets. Beds were comfy. Double glazing stops the noises from the square. Good selection of pastries and coffee for breakfast, as well as scrambled and boiled eggs.

The lift starts from 1st floor, making it difficult with a large suitcase. They can’t order taxis making it hard to find one for meetings in the city

Perfect few days in Strasbourg

Location was great, upgraded to a family room so plenty of space, room very clean.

Only (small) issue would have been the shower - which was positioned in the middle of the bath at the taps, but did not reach to the shower holder, so had to be handheld - no big deal but awkward!

This was a great location and we would stay here again but ask for a lower floor.

We loved the location right across from the Cathedral! The room was also clean and had good space. The staff were terrific.

It was a hot spell in France and being on the 6th floor with no AC exacerbated the heat. We had a hard time falling asleep.

There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like. Absolutely recommend this hotel

The location was unbelievable, directly in the heat of the old town and within walking of all we wanted to do. We were pleasantly surprised by how well the windows muted the sound, even from the bells of the enormous cathedral right in front of us. We slept very well. We explored the evening we arrived and the entire next day by foot. The hotel was the perfect location to be top enjoy an evening in the city. Everyone we met were kind and humorous. Each place we enjoyed food or drinks was incredibly good. We wished we had more time to explore and enjoy the city than just a day.

Liked the location of the hotel. Just in front of the cathedral. Stores and restaurants around it. Some staff were very nice and some were just there . Nothing extra.. Breakfast could be better .

A fantastic stay in the heart of the city, which was reflected in the price.

The location couldn’t be better, next to the cathedral. The staff, particularly Tiny, were excellent. The room was on the smallish size, but we’re talking about a building which is hundreds of years old. So it was fine.

We thought the breakfast was expensive. But it was good.

The location is Fabulous - right opposite the cathedral but it’s a longish walk to the station

Breakfast choice was excellent & looking out of the breakfast room onto the cathedral in all its glory was the icing on the cake

Not much they can do, but the lift is in on the first floor & old folks like me have to negotiate a spiral staircase to access it. But the very kind receptionist carrier my suitcase up to the lift level 😀

Obviously the location, bear in mind the crowds/noise.

It’s an old building that increases the price of the room (and breakfast) because of the season and tourists. The room was very small, much like the 20euro breakfast. Fend for yourself for parking (and good luck)!

Front desk attendants need to practice smiling and being polite, attentive, friendly, all the time.

We didn’t get the breakfast because we read the reviews and they were awful so I can’t comment on it The location is great in proximity to the cathedral. However, the fact that the bell rings every 15 min and for some reason it rings nonstop for 7,8 minutes at random times.

Your entire staff needs to be retrained! They have to learn to SMILE and be nice to EVERYONE! I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 25 years so I understand how difficult it can be. That being said, as a guest I/we’re always super friendly to those working in the industry so it’s not as if we’re difficult to deal with.
