Super place to stay with family. Great staff.

Location is great in the middle of Copacabana, and the Staff were Super! From Reception to breakfast, cleaning, porters,...really good, and nice environment and clients. I met a client who has been going...for 50 years every holidays!

best location on a dated hotel

The hotel has a fantastic location on Copacabana Beach, but it's dated. I had a fantastic view from my room The staff is fine. The staff was very attentive and despite the number of people who emptied the breakfast buffets quickly, they constantly replenished them.

The room and bathroom are a good size, but look as dated as the rest of the hotel Breakfast is disappointing. Lots of variety, but not good to me.

Very good option in Copacabana

What I liked is: The location: it is close to a jazz club (the Blue Note), restaurants an The hotel may provide tours for different destinations, daily tours, etc, ....d it is close to the Underground. The breakfast was very good, offering different food options The hotel has an agreemetn with a beach spot, in front of the hoitel, no need to pay for the seats.

The quality of the wifi was not not good, it was very irregular The space for the breakfast is reduced

The nightshift staff were rude, lazy & incompetent. The hotel was old and dirty. The food from the restaurant was terrible, the worst I have eaten in Brazil.

location and the majority of staff were pleasant and helpful

Front desk staff (excluding the bell boys who always took the time to smile and say hello) but the reception staff were cold and unhelpful - on arrival we'd stupidly forgotten a painting in the cab so asked if the front desk could call the local number we had and communicate with the driver. Leandro told us they couldnt make outside calls from the desk, I asked if he could use his mobile to help us - that too was a flat NO. We were scrambling around trying to connect to wifi to hopefully get hold of the driver, whilst Leandro got out his mobile and proceeded to use it in front of us - Unprofessional and rude.

Not going back.

Property was close to the beach. Cleaning lady was really sweet and reliable, it was always nice to talk to her, she would answer us better than the receptionist.

“One” of the receptionist were always impatient in any question we would make, it was extremely uncomfortable asking anything to him! Gym does not have reliable equipments, seems to be broken, even the wire/rope was coming apart. They didn’t have central air through all the hallways before we get into the room.

A good stay

All the staff was very nice, although some of them didn't seem comfortable speaking English. The hotel looks nice in the common areas and the room as well. I could see the Christ Redeemer from my window! The shower was good and the pillows and the mattress were rather comfortable. The location was super good, close to the beach, to many shops and restaurants and to the metro. The pool in the last floor is also something that adds value to the experience, including the beautiful view you have from the rooftop. The hotel offers free towels for the pool and chairs and umbrella for you to use on the beach. The breakfast was simple and repetitive but good enough at the same time

When I arrived to my room I could feel dust on the floor. During my stay part of the furniture deteriorated, as if it has been poorly refurbished. The rooms are poorly insulated and you can hear noise of water flowing inside the pipes, people opening and closing doors of their room or of the elevator.

Nice hotel but a little pricey for what it is. Definitely ok price for location.

Location was great. Good size room. Nice staff.

Shower had a bit of mould and dark in between tiles. Pillows weren’t much comfortable. Breakfast was ok but all the bakery items were very dry, definitely not freshly baked.

The location was just perfect on the long copacabana beach. Broad choice for breakfast

The property is old and not well maintained. The rooms are extremely noisy (fridge, air conditioning and corridor). The room is only superficially clean, but mold is present in the shower door and junction of the doors. Acceptable if you don’t intend to spend any extra time a part from sleeping at the hotel

The room was dated. The pillows smelled really terrible and they were old. They switched them and they new ones were exactly the same: stinky! The room was clean but they need to be renovated, specially the bathroom!

Under expected stay in Astoria Palace next to Copacabana beach!

Location is quite good: right front of the Copacabana beach, close to the restaurants and super markets. Breakfast is very good (lots of choices and fresh fruits). Room is ok (it was with back facing of the hotel; no sunlight nor view).

The room was under my expectation; a tiny window overviews to the dark part of the hotel (back side), no sunlight nor any view (just for sleeping). When I asked for a better room (good viewing), the reception told me they could provide one with extra payment which is not fair specially when you pay already a good price for your room and you stay in Copacabana, your minimum expectations will be having a room with at least a side view of the sea.
