The views! The location is awesome, 10 minutes from the ski hill and ten minutes from the grocery store or a multitude of restaurants. The apartment has everything thing you need to prepare meals and easily accommodates my family of four.
This is my second time staying at the property and I’ve yet to figure out the trash location. We end up taking the trash with to the town recycling center since we have not been able to find the on site location and no signs exist. We’ve asked other guest and no one has solved this mystery.

We really loved the location and the privacy this property offered. The views of the mountain range were amazing at any time of the day. Being able to sit on your own private balcony in comfortable rocking chairs overlooking the scenery was so relaxing. We also loved that it was pet-friendly. Apparently the owners have a large dog, so there was a kennel full of dog toys that our puppy loved. The condo is very spacious as well. Although it was just the two of us and our puppy, four other people could have fit comfortably. It's also really close to some amazing sites (Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Blowing Rock) and adventures (Rock wall climbing, zip lines, rafting, tubing) and restaurants.
The only items for improvement we'd note are as follows: The mattress for the master bedroom is extra firm and the pillows extra soft so it was difficult for us to get a great night's sleep. The sliding door that allows access to the balcony from the master bedroom was difficult to open and close without a lot of force. The carpet in the living area has a lot of stains (perhaps from guests with pets) but did not smell. Lastly, the walls are very thin and this unit is on the bottom floor. The upstairs neighbors had a party and we could hear everything.
