About this house rental
The house is built on one level and has a large living room with an open kitchen with bar, an open fireplace and large windows with breathtaking views of the high mountain peaks; 3 double bedrooms, two of which have a normal double bed and a high bed; 2 full bathrooms; and a120m2 covered terrace with a fireplace/barbecue, a ping pong table and views of the Extremadura plains.
The house is situated on a 30.000m2 property in the middle of nature, with olive trees, fig trees, oaks, chestnut trees, and has a subtropical garden right around it with a pool of 11x4 m. at a 20 m. distance from the terrace. It is open from May until mid-October, and covered with a deck the remainder of the year.
The house runs on solar energy, with an installation that was renewed and expanded in Feburary 2026, with the support of a generator in case of several cloudy days in a row. Guests receive instructions on arrival on how to manage the electricity, which is very simple, and there is always someone close-by to help if necessary.

An excellent place to unwind and relax, immersed in nature in a spectacular property with a fantastic backdrop. And big thanks to Viveca & Hans for accommodating our delayed arrival - and to Andreas for maintaining the pool. We had a fantastic stay.

We’ve been twice now and can’t wait to visit again. The view alone is worth it but the house is stunning and the mountains with rivers to swim in are as beautiful as anything in Spain. Hans and Viveca are adorable hosts and you can really tell how much love they have put into building this house. It’s a very very special place.

Fabulous home, brilliant modern architecture and lovely gardens. Really enjoyed the peaceful location with the sound of distant goat bells, beautiful scenery, stunning views across the valley and back up to the mountains and excellent facilities including essential swimming pool.

The property is wonderful with its Panaromic views and is situated in a lovely part of unspoilt Spain, great villages, restaurants and friendly community feel. Unfortunately I don't remember reading about the long trek up to the property on a very bad unmade road..not too suitable for a normal car or the fact that due to it being solar powered you could not have a fan or air conditioning.
