About this cottage rental
'Pelee Shores Lake House' is on the west shore of Point Pelee, Lake Erie, and is perfectly situated for spectacular sunsets all summer long. Now booking for 2025. First built in the early 1920's this cottage exudes a lot of the original Lake-House charm and character, while modern fittings and furnishings complete the scene with all the comfort and amenities you would expect. Recently completed Kitchen and bathrooms renovations, along with exterior landscaping, patio and decking, finish the cottage in style. 1 Queen bedroom and full bath on the main floor, 2 queen bedrooms with Jack 'n' Jill full bath on the upper floor. Point Pelee National Park is only a short bike ride away, and your rental comes with a family pass to the Park! Miles of beaches, hiking and biking trails, canoe rentals and the Point itself await you there. As well, the Lake House is only walking distance to several excellent restaurants, bars, championship golf and beautiful Leamington Marina, waterfront park, beach and Amphitheater. Take one of the 6 bikes provided and catch the ferry to Pelee Island for a fun filled day touring the winery, restaurants and beaches there. Spring & Fall Bird season is captured perfectly from here along the main migratory route for hundreds of song birds, water fowl and majestic birds of prey. Plenty of activities for the kids too, only a short stroll to mini-golf, go-carts, water-park, play grounds and more. or Simply relax in sun or shade to the rhythmic pulse of the lake washing against the Armour-stone break wall only a few feet away. Enjoy the lake breeze and unbelievable sunsets from the deck or from inside the sun-room with new floor to ceiling windows. The home was very neat and clean. Even the outside everywhere was clean. The cottage rooms were actually larger than they appeared in the photos. Absolutely loved the sunroom. We worked on puzzles on the one rainy day. One suggestion would be to add lighting by the table in the sunroom. Once it got dark, we didn’t have enough light to work on the puzzles. The view of the lake/sunsets was stunning. The deck was nice and large – part shady, part sunny. The location was perfect – it’s on a quiet street, but restaurants and shops are only a 10-15 minute drive. Everything was perfect, however, if I had to make a negative comment about anything, I would have to say there were quite a bit of spiders on the deck furniture. I know that’s nature and that you can’t control nature. Just giving a heads-up to future guests. We used a broom to clean off the spiders and webs every time we planned to sit on the furniture, especially in the morning. We brought a couple of spiders back to the States with us because they were hiding in my side mirrors. LOL! The cottage was perfect for a vacation!

This was our 5th year at the cottage. Our previous stay was in 2022, and we were hoping nothing would change as we booked it again for this year. Happily nothing has! The cottage is just perfect as is: cozy, inviting, comfortable, and oh so peaceful! We hope to return soon.

This is our second time at this cottage. It is beautiful, well-equipped and right on the lake. Just sitting on the deck enjoying the lake and weather is amazing! The hosts are great and it is a wonderful place to stay! Grateful for this opportunity to stay. Also, so happy to be able to enjoy the Point Pelee National Park that is so close!
