'Pelee Shores Lake House' is on the west shore of Point Pelee, Lake Erie, and is perfectly situated for spectacular sunsets all summer long. Now booking for 2025. First built in the early 1920's this cottage exudes a lot of the original Lake-House charm and character, while modern fittings and furnishings complete the scene with all the comfort and amenities you would expect. Recently completed Kitchen and bathrooms renovations, along with exterior landscaping, patio and decking, finish the cottage in style. 1 Queen bedroom and full bath on the main floor, 2 queen bedrooms with Jack 'n' Jill full bath on the upper floor. Point Pelee National Park is only a short bike ride away, and your rental comes with a family pass to the Park! Miles of beaches, hiking and biking trails, canoe rentals and the Point itself await you there. As well, the Lake House is only walking distance to several excellent restaurants, bars, championship golf and beautiful Leamington Marina, waterfront park, beach and Amphitheater. Take one of the 6 bikes provided and catch the ferry to Pelee Island for a fun filled day touring the winery, restaurants and beaches there. Spring & Fall Bird season is captured perfectly from here along the main migratory route for hundreds of song birds, water fowl and majestic birds of prey. Plenty of activities for the kids too, only a short stroll to mini-golf, go-carts, water-park, play grounds and more. or Simply relax in sun or shade to the rhythmic pulse of the lake washing against the Armour-stone break wall only a few feet away. The home was very neat and clean. Even the outside everywhere was clean. The cottage rooms were actually larger than they appeared in the photos. Absolutely loved the sunroom. We worked on puzzles on the one rainy day. One suggestion would be to add lighting by the table in the sunroom. Once it got dark, we didn’t have enough light to work on the puzzles. The view of the lake/sunsets was stunning. The deck was nice and large – part shady, part sunny. The location was perfect – it’s on a quiet street, but restaurants and shops are only a 10-15 minute drive. Everything was perfect, however, if I had to make a negative comment about anything, I would have to say there were quite a bit of spiders on the deck furniture. I know that’s nature and that you can’t control nature. Just giving a heads-up to future guests. We used a broom to clean off the spiders and webs every time we planned to sit on the furniture, especially in the morning. We brought a couple of spiders back to the States with us because they were hiding in my side mirrors. LOL! The cottage was perfect for a vacation!

This was our 5th year at the cottage. Our previous stay was in 2022, and we were hoping nothing would change as we booked it again for this year. Happily nothing has! The cottage is just perfect as is: cozy, inviting, comfortable, and oh so peaceful! We hope to return soon.

This is my second time at this house. The house is beautiful and clean, everything you need is there. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset. Parks and beaches within biking or walking distance. A lot of nice local restaurants.

Can’t imagine a nicer place to stay. Beautiful decor, lots of windows overlooking the lake, a deck that was hard to leave and a sunroom that was perfect. Quiet both day and night, you would never know you were in a town.

Our family had a lovely, relaxing time here. Check-in was easy, and communication with host was very good. Everything was clean and comfortable!! The view from the back deck is beautiful, watching sunsets and storms across the lake. We had a great time in Point Pelee as well using the family park pass

Had an amazing time in this house. Every thing was clean and updated. Kitchen outfitted with more than I needed. TV and internet all available and had no issues with them. Washer and dryer available and had all supplies. Games provided in sun room, which also was great. I did not use the upstairs rooms, but the downstairs bedroom and bathroom had all I needed. The deck on the lake was perfect. Afternoon sun and spectacular sunsets. Overall a fantastic place.

Beautiful house, confortable and well located, not far of downtown and on the lakeshore. We spent several 5 to 7 on the terrace and were feeling on the sea shore. Althoud we only had a few questions to ask, we found the owner very easy to find. Beau séjour dans un splendid decor

View from the deck is spectacular, sea birds, boaters, barges, viking cruise ship and of course the Pelee Is. Ferry coming and going multiple times per day. Lots to do on fair weather days in preserves, reserves, wineries, or just go to Pelee point to the beach, take your passport and trip to Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mi. on a rainy day. Kingsville is close and has lots of restaurants with varying cuisines. You cannot go wrong at this VRBO where the owner thinks of all your needs.

I saw the pictures but still wasn’t prepared for the view. This 1920s home is situated right up on the rock bank of Lake Erie. The house is updated and very well maintained. The owners are great and have had a tie to the community there for a long time. The community has good restaurants and great views and is only 5 mins away from Point Pelle National Park. We loved it here.

My friends and I enjoyed staying close to both shopping at the grocery stores in Leamington and being close to Point Pelee for birding. The deck overlooking Lake Erie provided a great spot at the picnic table to watch the beautiful sunsets. It is a well appointed home with everything you need for your stay.

From renting this cottage online to arriving months later; everything went very smoothly. We were very pleased with the cottage and its location. Very clean and very well equipped. Lots of room for 3 couples. We would definitely rent there again. The hosts were easy to reach and were punctual in their responses.

We spent a week at this property with a multi-generational group. There was something for everyone. Incredible views from the beautiful deck, a fully stocked kitchen and bbq, comfortable beds and a great location within driving distance to parks, beaches, Groceries, etc. We had a baby and kindergartener in our group- the cottage had a high chair, stroller, tons of games and toys for all ages and an extra foam pad. Our group spent most of the time on the deck taking in the waves, wind and enjoying incredible sunsets. The only challenge we had with the deck is keeping toddlers contained but an extra pack n play outside would help this. We spent the rest of our time enjoying the bonus sunroom- comfy furniture, a quiet retreat from the rest of the house and a great spot to contain toddlers ( and early risers). The owners are organized, communicate all instructions clearly and effectively and have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The photos are beautiful but do not do this property justice- it’s even better in person. It was a lovely vacation!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage by the lake. It was well kept and beautifully decorated. The highlight of this cottage is the deck over looking the lake. We spent plenty of time on this deck enjoying the sounds of the water and soaking up the sun. The enclosed sunroom off to the side of the cottage was another wonderful addition where we spent time reading and playing games. Thank you so much Mark and Debbie for allowing us to stay in this serene vacation home to enjoy the beauty of nature surrounding it. Highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

I would give this property 10 stars if I had the option. This was our third time staying at Mark's and Debbie's cottage in Leamington, and every time our only disappointment is that the vacation week ends all too soon. The cottage is perfectly located. It is on a quiet street and is set back away from the road to make it feel serene and restful. It is gorgeous inside. Immaculately clean. So very comfortable! Every little detail was added to make it feel like home: restful, peaceful, cheerful, uncluttered, beautifully decorated, with every imaginable amenity within reach. We were a family of 5, ages from 18 to 81, and everyone simply adored our stay once again. The cottage comes with a family pass to Point Pelee and its fabulous beaches, unspoiled nature, and the Point itself. Beaches are clean, safe and uncrowded. Bird and animal watching is super fun. We always go to Freddy's at least once during our stay: amazing food, delicious perch dishes and burgers, great atmosphere (especially the patio). Other restaurants we have enjoyed are Jack's in Kingsville and Crave in Leamington. Grocery store is a short drive away, as is Aziz's fruitstand for farm-fresh produce and to-die-for bakery items. If I could go back tomorrow, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

For our third time in the area and second time at Pelee Shores, the cottage is a wonderful place to relax and slow down. Sitting by the windows or on the deck, the vast lake with its moods, it’s waves and it’s character is like a giant inland ocean. We love the cottage and hope to be able to return one day! Family health issues kept us from enjoying the whole vacation but the cottage and our hosts were awesome!

The cottage was exactly as pictured on the website, bright, clean, fresh smelling. We loved the kitchen which was well equipped with everything needed to make a family meal. All the rooms are a good size, (lots of closets and drawers in bedrooms), never felt cramped, with six adults, lots of fresh towels, great laundry facilities. Beautiful deck with lots of seating - fantastic sunsets.

This was our second stay at lovely Surfside. Once again we fell in love with the quaint cottage and convenient locale. Being right on the lakefront constantly changing vista's and amazing sunsets are guaranteed. The cottage is clean , well equipped and comfortable. We took full advantage of the park pass provided to hike, kayak and picnic in Point Pelee. The Monarch butterflies were congregating for their annual migration south. We also golfed several times at Erie Shores, a beautiful course within walking distance. As usual, our hosts made sure everything was to our satisfaction. A great stay and highly recommended.

The views are spectacular and the Lanai was our favourite room in the house. We've rented this property for 3 summers in a row now and thoroughly enjoyed it every time! Mark is a great host and is very responsive to any questions. All the amenities you could want are provided and the decor is beautiful yet casual. We love the quiet location on the water and the proximity to many attractions such as Point Pelee and restaurants, wineries etc. We like to take advantage of the lovely fresh fruit stands nearby. We have also enjoyed the bicycles, toys and games provided with our children and grandchildren. Thanks for another great week!

Pelee Shores did not disappoint. It was more than we expected. The coastal feel of the cottage as well as the charming nuances from being 100 yrs old. Restored to it's natural beauty. Listening to the waves on the large deck was very calming. Everything you need (& then some) is provided. It is in a perfect location for visits to Point Pelee as well as going into town and it's proximity to Kingsville. We would definitely consider Pelee Shores on a return visit.

We spent a wonderful week at the beach house. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets and many walks on the beach at the beautiful Point Pelee National Park. The beach house was all that we imagined and more. From the moment we arrived at the impeccable property we knew we had found a gem. The house was well equipped with anything you could need. There were also a lot of extras for entertainment such as bikes, games, movies. We enjoyed the fireplace on a chilly evening I would highly recommend this rental property to anyone looking for a relaxing get away. We will definitely go back.

My family consisting of 4 adults and two children thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. This is our second visit. Everything was perfect!!!The cottage, really a beautiful home, is so comfortable and bright with an endless view of Lake Erie. We sat on the deck every day, accessed Point Pelee National Park thanks to the pass, several times, and had a fantastic weekend!I cannot recommend this stellar cottage enough. So thoughtfully laid out and with excellent amenities!! Can't wait to return.

Symbiosis on Lake Eerie...old world charm yet very modern. Feels like a million miles away yet is a quick 10 min drive for anything one would need or want.Spent most of the time on the back deck watching life on the lake happen. From the abundance of water fowl (egrets, herons, cormorants, ducks etc), watching the ferry come to port, or just listening to the waves lap the rocks whilst sipping a favorite bevvie. Oh, and who can forget our frequent visits from Checkers (very affectionate cat from next door).Visitors should make the short trip to Point Pelee... a gem for anyone who loves nature, biking and hiking. Stand right on the southern most tip of Canada (pass included by owner). If you take the ferry to Pelee Island be sure to call ahead to any point of interest there, as hours of operations are different day to day/seasonal.Thank you to Mark and Debbie for being gracious hosts. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful clean home and property, just as pictures show. Close to Seacliff Park, Point Pelee National Park and downtown Leamington, for beaches, fun and all your needs. House pass for National Park a bonus! Close to great local fresh caught fish at Freddy's and Birdie's which are must trys. Communication with the owner's is fast and easy. Can't say enough about this location and our stay. Glad we found it.

We loved our 2 week vacation at this wonderful cottage. Even though it was hot there was always a breeze from the water on the deck so we could enjoy the outdoors and the view, plus the house is air conditioned. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts of home. We visited Point Pelee, and lots of wineries and restaurants which can be found close by. Although there is no beach at the cottage there are great beaches a short bike or drive away in Point Pelee Park so we swam a lot to stay cool. It was great to have bikes available on the property for exercise and excursions. Our host Mark was great. He was friendly and extremely helpful and responded quickly to any requests. Thanks Mark.

This cottage was so lovely. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the Lake Erie view was spectacular. The owners thought of pretty much everything a family could want or need. We really enjoyed our time there.
