Lucky Old Sun is a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Bahamas-style home for up to 9 guests in Prominence, a 30A community between WaterSound and Alys Beach. The community pool is close by, a 6-seat golf cart is included, and Deer Lake State Park's beach access is about half a mile away.
The open living and dining areas have 10-foot ceilings, plenty of windows and custom furnishings. The kitchen has GE appliances, including a gas cooktop, a built-in oven and an oversized refrigerator, along with granite countertops and everything you need to cook and entertain. A half bath is on the first floor, and an outdoor patio adds space to relax.
All three bedrooms are on the second floor. The Primary Bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a king bed, and the third bedroom has a custom-built bunk with two twin beds over a queen bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The upstairs bathrooms have luxury tile and upgraded fixtures.

BEACH ACCESS
Deer Lake State Park is the closest and most popular beach access to Prominence, about 0.5 miles away. As a state park, it doesn't allow alcohol, and beach service isn't available there. Walton County beach accesses nearby include Walton Dunes, about 2 miles west, and Gulf Lakes, about 0.5 miles east, which has no parking but makes an easy bike ride. More beach accesses along 30A are listed in the Coastal Dreamin' guest portal.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Old Lucky Sun in Prominence. The house was very clean upon arrival and had all the things we needed. We definitely recommend 91A!

Do not rent this townhouse if the golf cart is your deciding factor. After checking in we decided to take the golf cart out for a spin and the battery gauge light kept blinking on and off. Not very assuring that it was going to last. I contacted the company and they said it had new batteries and needed to charge overnight. The next day it was still blinking but we decided to take it to the beach anyways because this was our only transportation source since we did not have a car. The golf cart went extremely slow. We had other golf carts passing us! You are only allowed to take it 3 miles from the residence, so keep that in mind.
Other than that, the house is well appointed! They had a Keurig and a drip coffee maker (takes the large triangle filters). Plenty of dishes, cups, wine glasses and utensils to cook too. You get one box of laundry detergent and two dishwasher pods to get you started. They let you know this in the check in information which was helpful so I brought a few more pods from home. There isn't a coffee table so we did board games / puzzles at the dining table. They have cable TV but did not have HGTV or Bravo with their cable subscription. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious but could use a few hooks to hang wet bathing suits. The Wi-Fi worked great!
The Big Chill/Hub is directly across the street which had several restaurants and there was a DJ playing. We grabbed a drink, lobster roll and enjoyed an evening there one night!

This property was beautiful, however, it wasn't the cleanest. After walking around the home in our socks we realized they were black. The floors need to be mopped and/or rugs cleaned. The carbon monoxide detector was unplugged with a dead battery sitting under the sink. Concerning since the property has a gas stove. The primary suite comforter had stains all over it. The dryer wasn't functioning properly. It took 3-4 cycles to fully dry our clothes. We contacted Coastal Dreamin Management with our issues and they indicated someone would be out to fix the monoxide detector and provide us with new linens. They came out once while we were showering and didn't come in because the doors were locked. They just left without a phone call. I then received a text that stated "We just wanted to let you know that we had someone come by but the doors were dead bolted so they were unable to get in. He is very busy so had to leave for his next issue". There was no further follow up or attempts to remedy the detector, linen, or dryer issues.
The property itself is in a great location with close access to many restaurants. We loved the golf cart. The porch was great for our little one (2) to hang out on and not be able to escape! The property was spacious. We enjoyed our stay but likely won't stay at another property managed by Coastal Dreamin.
