Irida beachfront Villa for 12 steps to amenities

Spacious property. Very clean with lovely pool and sun beds - right opposite the beach. Comfortable beds and good aircon. Lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby and only 7Euros into Rethymno. Lots to do nearby. Definitely would return.

This 6 bedroom 5 bathroom Villa on 3 levels is immaculate inside and out. We were a family party of three generations aged from 10 to 72 and everyone enjoyed staying here. The location is across the road from the beach and a few minutes walk from numerous bars and restaurants strung out along the beach. The old town is a 30-40 walk, or 7 euros by taxi. The service provided by a combination of the owners and Oreo Travel was exceptional. We had a problem with power after 10 pm one evening and within 15 minutes it was resolved.

The villa was very clean and modern. Well equipped, everything you need is there. There are 3 floors, basement, ground and upper level. There is a bedroom, bathroom and game room in the basement, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and the kitchen + living on the ground floor and the top floor has 3 bedrooms, one bedroom has a bathroom and there is one separate bathroom. The beds stood out: great beds! Not the typical Greek hard mattresses. Large fridge. There is a container outside so you can take out your trash anytime you want, which we prefer. Taking trash out regularly prevents any ant infestation. Basic cleaning supplies , soap and dishwasher tables are provided. The pool was fantastic, not heated but even in April the temp was fine. Kids had so much fun. WiFi good. 2 parking spaces at the side of the house, that closes with a rolling fence. The agency was very responsive, any question was answered within minutes. And when we asked for new towels we had them within an hour. Great service.

Really the only thing I can think of is that the lounge area outside can really use new and better cushions. What would top it up (and if I would live here) would be acoustic panels to absorb sound in the house. It can have quite an echo when people with loud voices speak. Although the sound didn’t carry through to the upper floor!

Deze fijne en ruime villa heeft een fantastische ligging direct aan het strand en een super zwembad. Ligging ten opzichte van het oude centrum van Rethymnon is ideaal.

Bij sommige douches moet je zelf de douchekop vasthouden, minder fijn. Kleine vaatwasser, dus met een grote groep na iedere maaltijd de vaatwasser aan.
