Lots to like, but unless the menu changes I probably wouldn't choose to stay here at this price.

Very clean and comfortable room. Welcoming and helpful staff, including Gabi who kindly agreed to let us in after midnight after we temporarily mislaid our keys at a wedding. Thank you, Gabi.

The dinner menu was very limited in terms of main meal options and I felt tried too hard to be upmarket instead of offering a greater choice to suit more tastes. I had a burger, which was very nice, but I really would have liked more options to select from that weren't burgers. The cooked breakfast was very good, but for the price we paid for the stay I would have expected at least a buffet-style table set out with cereals, fruit and yoghurts.

A perfect Cotswold staycation

A lovely place, we liked everything about it. The building itself, the room was comfortable, the food and drink great and the staff had everything under control despite it being very busy with a wedding party. Breakfast also very good - poached egg perfection. Highly recommended, would stay again.

Beautiful location, but probably wouldn't stay again.

Location was lovely. Breakfast was great.

We unfortunately had very noisy people in the room next door. A large number of them gathered in the room next door about 1am and the walls are very thin so kept us awake. Unfortunately the shower in the morning was also unbearably hot to the point we couldn't directly stand underneath it, with no way of getting it colder.

It’s a good rustic country inn the staff are very attentive and friendly. Breakfast is good not a vast range of choice but nicely prepared. Beds are very comfy.

The bar area and dining room could have more comfortable seating even seat/bench pads would be good. Bar area is relatively small but had heated seated areas outside. The car park is small and can be very tight on getting out of spaces if large cars are parked so parked on street which was ok.

Pretty pub in a beautiful village in need of a bit of investment

Comfy bed and pillows and a lovely breakfast

We could not get hot water when we arrived. The shower wasn’t great and the climb into the bath for the shower is quite precarious if you are short as you have to climb over the side of the roll top bath. The room was very dark and would benefit a light on the dressing table. We’re booked in next year for 2 nights for our son’s wedding and I’m nervous that if we had the same room with the same problem it would be a concern and cause some stress. Overall a lovely place in need of a bit of investment to make it super comfortable and pleasant to stay for a few nights.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. An atmospheric quintissential old country inn.

Check in was quick and very easy. Staff were very helpful and displayed exceptional customer service. we were upgraded to a cottage suite with our own reserved parking. The suite was immaculately furnished with a high standard of bathroom facilities/decor We had dinner there, service and quality of food was excellent. The same applied to the breakfast with a wide choice of cooked food and cereals/juice etc.

The customer toilet facilities for the bar/restaurant were short of acceptable standard. Access was outside of the bar/restaurant building, atrocious weather conditions didn't help consequently muddied footwear caused a mess on the toilet floors.

Beautiful area and pleasant staff. Very good breakfast.

Bedroom with some step to get into the bathroom and multi levels for doors and ceiling. My husband is tall and he had to walk carefully bending down all the time whilst also trying not to trip on the steps! Not very comfortable and rather stressful.

Our room in one of the smaller buildings had a very strong scent of an air freshener or similar. We also had some weird humming machine in the room, something to with humidity. I would guess there is a mold/mildew problem. We stayed for just one night so not a big deal.

Boutique rural luxury

Stunning location which we picked because it was near Bibury. So delighted we chose The New Inn. A luxurious boutique inn with an excellent pub, beer garden and dining. A touch of luxury at the end of our Cotswolds stay. Both rooms were gorgeous and we loved looking out onto the rural scene.

Pleasant stay

The staff were amazing. Attentive throughout the dining experience. The room looked nice. The Taco night was pleasant. Margaritas were delicious 😋 Good choice on the tv, too

Feathered quilt and pillows. As I am allergic to feathers. Couldn't work the heating in the room when it got cold. I fell down the step outside my room. It had a mind the step sign on the door, but it was too late as the step had no difference to the carpet stepping on. A yellow strip would definitely help. The menu was slight and fancy and expensive. As there was no other choice of venue to go to In the village we ate at the hotel. Toilets were outside in the next building. There were only 3 hangers in the wardrobe needed more.

The location was lovely.

Dirty room, dirty and old kettle, carpet filthy, mouldy walls, cobwebs hanging from ceiling, high pitch squealing in room above every time a tap was used, hand soap not replenished. I didn’t stay the second night I paid for.

Beautiful stay, would recommend

We were upgraded to the suite terrace room for my partner's birthday, thank you! The room was the best we've stayed in, own separate entrance, huge room and ensuite with 2 massive sinks and lovely roll top bath. Breakfast was delicious, small menu but lovely varied options. Village was small beautiful and quaint. Beautiful view onto fields at back of car park. We enjoyed a circular route around it with the fishing lake too.

Only thing missing in the room was a smart TV if being picky. A little annoying coming back in the evening and no car parking space due to restaurant and had to park at top of the road, but manageable and not a problem
