This converted coachhouse is close to Modbury and sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms.
The Coach House is a detached bungalow near the Devonshire town of Modbury. The traditional stone building has an open plan living area which is bright and contemporary and three comfortable bedrooms, a double, a twin and a children's bunk room. From the living area, French doors open on to the patio and front lawn, where you can enjoy the late summer evenings - and glimpses of the pool are visible through the archway of the gatehouse. Note: The property will not accept bookings with children below the age of three
Amenities: Central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, shared washing machine and tumble dryer, WiFi and TV with DVD player. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for one car. Lawned garden with patio, furniture and barbecue. Shared use of indoor pool, please note that the indoor pool is closed from November until mid March - booking system in operation and large heated outdoor pool - available end of May to early September. On-site facilities to include fitness room, games room, children's play area and a hard tennis court (bring your own racquets and balls). Sorry, no pets or smoking allowed. Shop and pub 0.4 miles. Note: This property will sleep a total maximum of 6 people (4 adults and 2 children with children above the age of 3). Note: Shared washing machine and tumble dryer on site at additional cost
Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
Town: The market town of Modbury is in the South Devon AONB, offering shops, pubs and restaurants. Surrounded by fields and near the coast, it's an ideal spot for walkers, cyclists, golfers, sailors and surfers. Explore the South Devon coast with its beaches and coastal path, or visit the nearby estuary towns and villages such as Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Plymouth and Dartmoor are also both close. A brilliant holiday location at any time of year.

Wonderful place to stay. Though your sharing the pool/gym with others it wasn’t busy and didn’t have a ‘butlins’ feel. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was lots of extras if you needed them like blankets and a heater.
The accommodation is spacious enough for a standard wheelchair, though there are steps to get from the car park. There are a few dvds and games in the cupboard for guests as well as table tennis for the table by the pool. The only let down was the welcome booklet was hidden behind the DVD player and we didn’t have the code for the door to the pool/gym for the first day, but the owner was great at getting back to us through email. Luckily BT mobile network was good the whole week but Wi-fi would’ve have been so much better, I believe it’s the only cottage on the colmer estate that doesn’t have Wi-fi. The estate is different in that there is no onsite office or manager. Each cottage is left to manage themselves, with groundskeepers coming during the week to complete their individual tasks. There is a well stocked garage a 5 minutes walk up the road and a fish and chip van visits the adjacent campsite on Wednesdays. The feel of the place is well mannered and quiet, but wi H plenty to do that you can just relax hanging out at the cottage. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay and we plan to return booking several cottages for extended family.
