Traditional Karpathian house

Lodging nearly fully occupied by bedroom + living room (combined - in Karpathian tradition), Here also, kitchen and bathroom are afterthoughts (if adequately equipped) but the high-ceilinged bed/living-room is marvelous.

The front yard would benefit immensely - certainly for me - from chairs one can sit on and read through the night,

The traditional Karpathian house is located in a village in the inland of Karpathos. It was close to the airport and the port, while in short time one could reach beautiful beaches. The house is an old traditional building, with the special internal architecture of the island, including the wooden carved structure hosting the bed and sitting area, having underneath the cellar, full of old big clay pots for keeping olive oil and grains, the walls full of shelves with painted dishes, pottery and family photos. Staying there was like living in another time, tasting another kind of life, a real escape from routine.

Super helpful and friendly host, the property remains cool during a very hot summer and the location is quiet.
