About this country house rental
**Baseball Families-please check your dates and location before requesting the house. Please note that ALLSTAR VILLIAGE is on Oneonta (55 minutes away from house)**

This is a country house located near the Hamlet of Miller’s Mills. It is just 20 miles from Cooperstown and 20 miles from Utica. We are truly centrally located for Ny state.
This house is surrounded by our 80 acre property. The house features nice quiet surroundings with a large yard that is perfect for the kids to run and play. You can sit on the front porch and watch the sun come up or sit by a fire to watch the sunset with the bullfrogs singing. We encourage you to enjoy the country. Cook some s'mores over an open fire, watch the lighting bugs or count the stars. Don't forget to watch for the wild life- white tail deer and wild turkeys are abundant and look to the sky to see the resident Bald Eagle family.
We are a family orientated property.

Lovely old farm house with some charm. This was our third time staying at the house and it a great place for the family to spend time when we weren't out at herkimer diamond mine. Truly enjoyed the space.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! Check-in was easy and communication with Christine was fantastic. Our son was playing at Cooperstown and staying here was absolutely peaceful. Which is exactly what we needed after long days at the ballpark. We even got to bring him back and make him a home cooked meal during a break from games. Perfect stay in a gorgeous setting!

Remote location was very quiet and peaceful. Appreciated the syrup, pancake mix, nightlights, hiking recommendations and local soaps!! Upstairs bed was pretty soft for us and dips on each side and since it is a very old house, it wasn't possible for us to stand while walking in the upstairs hall (hit our heads on the ceiling). We were disappointed with the communication related to the electric fireplaces. We booked this house mainly to relax in front of the fireplace and the price was affordable to us. We don't have an electric fireplace and there were no instructions on how to use the one in the living room. We searched for 1/2 hour all over the house for a remote that would work in the living room (too frustrated to figure out the upstairs one at this point), contacted the owners and were told "sorry" if a remote was missing/they didn't offer to problem solve very much, offer instructions on how to use it or even offer to come over. We eventually figured it out that the fireplace had hidden buttons and didn't need a remote. You may want to actually include directions for people in your binder.
