Sea, sunshine, wind, beach, walks, lovely food.

Super location, just round the corner of the gorgeous little harbour and the 'Deichanlage' (sea fortifications) for lovely walks, and a few minutes from the 'Badewerk' (spa) and the beach. We hired ourselves a 'Strandkorb' (beach basket) and enjoyed swimming in the Sea - twas refreshing like champagne! We felt right at home in the little flat with its comfy living/kitchen space. We slept superbly on the the comfy beds, too (just 'ware of the sloping ceiling). We loved being on the first floor above the shops, but the location may be a bit challenging for people with accessibility issues due to the steepness of the access stairs (as advertised correctly by the owner!). Kitchen is brilliantly equipped. The agency was super helpful answering a couple of queries beforehand. Highly recommended, we are hoping to come back!

This is nit picking, really, as we were so happy with our stay at Hafeneck, but I would have liked having a small freezer compartment in the generously sized fridge for some ice cubes and keeping the freezer blocks at the ready for day trips to the beach.
