Lovely house, great location to the centre of Carnac and the beach literally up the road, 5 minutes walk if that. Love the layout of the open plan living and kitchen was adequate for what we needed. Lovely big table outside to eat from, which was nearly every evening. However, when hot, the chairs, which are metal, became very hot.
First impressions were very good. However, the garden needed tidying up as grass had been allowed to grow and was burnt by the dry weather. So unable to sit out on the grass. Would have looked better being cut. The Bush to the side had been heavily cut back and didn't allow privacy from the road as the back garden was the main roadside.
Could do with providing privacy fencing to stop people walking past being nosey.
There were issues with the hall, stairs, and landing light, which, when switched on, came on, then began to flash on and off. The garage light where the washing machine was, also didn't work and the cold water tap in the en-suite bath didn't turn and left you with either a scalding hot bath or shower.
All these were reported the next morning after arriving, but nothing was done until I went again the following day. I also pointed out a safety feature that the bath and shower had no bath mat, so it was slippy. getting out of bath and shower. They then provided a shower mat free of charge. The cold tap issue was sort of rectified, in that the tap had been slightly loosened so got some cold water, however the stair and hall lights remained the same and the ladder was left up in the garage but no lights and NO POWER. Good job I knew what to do with the circuit board in turning it back on.
The kitchen draw was sticking, so sometimes it was a challenge opening it without the contents trying to escape.
No folder or book setting out facilities and places to go and the paper booklet provided by Interhome failed to provide the WiFi password so again Modem was in the double room so was able to at least get WiFi. Bush to the front of property needed to be cut back as it proved difficult to park car and get out if you're parked on the drive. The removal of the small wall would solve the parking issues.
Other than the few issues, it was a good holiday house
