About this house rental

The Opus House is a lovely restored two-story adobe home built around 1945 and nestled in a fruit orchard on the grounds of Truchas Peaks Place. The Opus House contains 5 sleeping spaces, 2 bathrooms & a kitchen, and is perfect for groups of up to 10.

The first floor contains a fully-equipped kitchen, a lovely living/sitting room, one bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath. The second floor contains two bedrooms with a queen bed in each, one full bath, a lovely living/sitting room, and a cozy workspace. The leather sofa in the second floor living room also opens out into a queen bed for more sleeping space.
There is telephone service and WiFi throughout the house and there is no television.
Opus House is located in the scenic little village of Truchas which is situated between the small cities of Santa Fe and Taos. You will enjoy the fine dining, shopping, galleries and museums both towns have to offer. Of course, Truchas contains many fine art and craft galleries as well.
There are ancient Pueblos in the area for exploration, Bandelier National Monument and Puye Cliffs. River rafting is a popular sport during the warmer months and Sipapu Ski Resort is a popular winter destination. A relaxing afternoon could be spent at Ojo Caliente, a natural hot springs and spa.

We had an amazing four day stay for a large family reunion at the Truchas Peaks Place. Highlight was the huge library room upstairs. It made for fantastic evening gatherings for our family group of 42. Large well stocked kitchen, allowed for lots of people preparing food at once. The house is a maze of bedrooms so lots of configuration options. Danette was super responsive and ready to assist at all times with questions and the few problems we had. Great customer service! The area is also gorgeously located along the high road to Taos, with cool breezes and endlessly interesting towns and geography of northern New Mexico. Only two items for improvement: the ice maker/water in the Frig were both broken upon arrival. Should have been tested before we arrived. Kudos to Danette for delivering a supplement ice maker as soon as we notified her, and also bringing us bags of ice to make up for it. Also the dishwasher was unusable, and no one seemed to know how to connect and/or fix it. Danette actually offered to help wash our dishes. So the few equipment malfunctions were more than offset by the stellar customer service. Also, huge THANK YOU to the owner and managers for adding outdoor seating to the house at my request in advance, so we could have outdoor COVID-safe meals together. That was awesome. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return again for future events. Thank you!!
