Camp Hogo Kavango

Hogo Camp is a family run businessband can only be thoroughly recommended as they both made us feel very welcome right from the start & provided that personal touch that makes the stay so much more enjoyable. Situated on the banks of the Ocovango river, the accommodation is a luxury tent with a built in screen to prevent insects. It had 2 single beds, it  was clean & comfortabe with tea & coffee making facilities, fridge, electric sockets & a welcome fan. The communal toilets & shower were clean with plenty of hot water. The braai/bbq area next to the tent was perfect with table & chairs, a sink & braai wood was available. The most memorable part of the stay was a gentle relaxing boat trip along the Ocovango river with commentary regarding the history etc. The sunset was breathtaking. The bar is well stocked & they do have a small menu, but primarily it's self catering. The hosts genuinely cared about their guests and nothing was too much trouble. Do not follow directions from Google maps though, just follow the signs from Rundu town! 110% recommended.

This is a great stay over onto your next destination. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation good value for money. Facilities are very clean. One can easily extend your stay to more than one night. Dinners offered simple but tasteful. Extra cold Beer off the tap great after a hot day on the road.

The signs to the camp from the B highway are very clear, however, on Google Map it refers one to a very different location.

Cosey. Good vibes and friendly owners
