I chose the location because I wanted to take pictures of the Perseid meteor shower over the small lake as it is in one of the darker areas of the country. The owners were very nice and welcoming and the house provided many large common areas and a good kitchen - I can see it working well for a larger group. The dock and the lake are lovely.

I was in one the upper triple rooms (up a winding metal staircase). When the host asked me if I wanted morning sun or evening sun in choosing between the rooms, I didn't realize how significant that was. I chose east facing for the better views. Only later did I see that there were no window coverings on any of the windows, which for Lithuania in the summer, would have meant a very early morning wakeup indeed if I hadn't blocked the windows with towels. This seems like a significant oversight that would be easily remedied. The towels at least were soft and comfortable and big and covered the windows well. The blankets, on the other hand, were very small and thin and worn, and I ended up using two of them after getting chilled taking photos at night and contemplated also using the one on the third couch bed. I couldn't find any other blankets in the room. I also wondered why the couch was made into a bed when it was just me and it would have been nice to have a place to sit other than the bed - it seemed more for the convenience of the owner in changing the room over than of the guest. The beds were not uncomfortable, but not especially comfortable either. Most significantly, while the shower had two shower heads, one above, and one at knee level, only the knee level one provided any water, and that only a trickle barely above cold. The control that seemed to control which head got water was extremely difficult to turn and stopped all the water entirely when I managed to turn it. I sent a message to the host asking for warm water and was assured that someone would be there in 30 minutes to fix it. No one showed up and there was no further communication for the rest of my stay. After two hours, I took a fairly uncomfortable "shower". In all, at €89 a night for one person, it seemed overpriced for the quality of the room. With a working shower, window coverings and better beds it would make more sense.
