Hot Water Beach Surf Sound Cottage

The location was excellent. We could walk to Hot Water Beach in just a few minutes. The yard was beautiful with amazing plants and fruit trees. The interior was nice. Bright light and good size rooms. Hot water beach was so much fun. Not a swimming beach, but beautiful. Be sure to go down between 2 hours before and 2 hours after low tide or you will not be able to dig for hot water. Be careful. Some spots are VERY hot! There was a shovel at the cottage which we really appreciated.

The kitchen was fine, but not great. Locks on the doors were old fashioned and didn't seem very secure. We didn't mind.

The Proximity to the beach was perfect and the adjacent Cafe is SUPERB. Cathedral cove is just up the road and a great pizza place and pub. The rental was indeed cozy and the beds comfy.

Great location, easy walk to the Hot Water beach. Was originally going to stay in Hahei - so glad we didn't - this was a much better location. Just remember to shop before you come. Dinner from the Caravan Park was easy to organise though.

Beds were comfortable and one of the best showers I've had as plenty of pressure. Very close to the beach and within walking distance.

There is no parking directions so we didn't know where to park on the property . No street parking as on a bend with a 4-way intersection. Parking in the driveway we didn't know if we would block the other cottage behind us.
