Colombo Orchid Villa

I was in Sri Lanka on a personal matter and stayed at the Colombo Orchid Villa, which catered to all my expectations. The hosts were magnificent and always checked in to see how I was doing and whether my requirements had been met. Even if you want to travel to Colombo, which is 6-7km away, I recommend this place as it is cost-effective. You find good food and shopping if you walk along the Pannipitiya Road, the same shops that you will see at One Galle Face, which is supposed to be Sri Lanka's premier shopping precinct.

There is nothing that I didn't like. Everything was to my satisfaction.

My stay at Colombo Orchard Villa was truly wonderful, thanks to the incredible hosts, Sudassie and Prabhat. They are very kind people, and their Buddhist background brings a beautiful, peaceful culture to the home. The entire "vibe" of the villa is so positive and happy! It is perfectly located in a vibrant part of Colombo, very close to a great market area and an excellent variety of restaurants. It is an accessible, safe, and welcoming environment that I highly recommend, especially for solo travelers.

This is a genuine homestay where you receive a very comfortable and cozy room. While the room size itself might be more compact than some expect, you are definitely not confined to it. You have the freedom to use the entire first floor, including the kitchen and dining area. Having this extra living space makes the stay much more comfortable and relaxing than a standard hotel room. Please pay them a visit and enjoy your stay!

A nice little family run place, super clean, well maintained! The host family you share the spacious top floor condo with is very nice and helpful with great advice that helped me a lot during my travels. Their morning coffee with biscuits is delicious too!
