House was clean and tidy on arrival, hot tub was ready, beds were made and all information needed was laid out an easy to get to, house was roomy and garden was amazing. 10 minutes from the local supermarket for essentials so great location. Location was good for a base to go on day trips out. House was beautifully decorated, and even had a a space for dogs to welcome them. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely have a return visit

We found Sonny Cottage to be clean and comfortable.
We found Sonny Cottage to be clean and comfortable. The master bedroom had a wide and comfortable mattress. At first, I did think the mattress was a bit thin, but it turned out to provide a decent night's sleep. We found the upstairs bedrooms were a bit colder though - even though this was only early October - so you may want to put the heating on asap when you arrive. The lounge had a large, comfortable sofa (which would seat two comfortably or three people). There was also one other armchair. The decor was subtle and welcoming. There was also a large TV in the lounge. We were very pleased about the dining room - the chairs were comfortable and there was a good amount of space around the table. The kitchen was fairly new and moderately well-equipped. We were provided with washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets (which not all cottages provide!) There was a welcome pack but nothing to get excited by. We've certainly had better. There were some small packets of cereal and some cellophane-wrapped biscuits and treats. There was also some milk in the fridge, but the milk expired in JUNE (and we stayed in the cottage in October!!) So I strongly suggest that you check the date on the milk before you make a cup of tea or coffee! The freezer and washing machine are in a separate building in the back garden, which means it's a slight inconvenience to have to go outside - especially when it's rainy or cold. But there is plenty of empty space in the separate building if you for example want to store luggage or anything else out of the way. As of October 2019, Sonny Cottage seems to be partway through renovation or redecoration. So some of the doors look as if they have been sanded down, waiting for repainting. One wall in the dining room was very dusty and left white marks on our belongings when we put bags and coats against it. But despite these relatively minor flaws, we found the cottage to be spacious and comfortable: we slept well, we enjoyed cooking and eating there, and we relaxed in the lounge for quite a few hours.

A very quiet peaceful location.

A very quiet peaceful location. The cottage is well equipped and clean. Upstairs bed rooms are very pleasant. Downstairs where the bathroom is located, perhaps a tad small for a family of five, but great for a couple and their dog. Overall, including the exterior very dog friendly. We used it as a base to visit local waterfalls, Neath, Swansea including the Mumbles, Langland and Caswell. Good walks are on your doorstep too! Thank you Sian for the welcome pack.
