Hohenstein Lodge

Beautiful location with terrific views. Nicely renovated lodge, very stylish design. Spacious chalets, situated on ‘islands’ separate from other chalets. Friendly staff (special callout to Celeste), good food. Several nice hiking and cycling trails around the lodge.

As the renovation is now largely done, suggestion would be to add blackout curtains/screens to the bedrooms. In August it’s not really a problem, but maybe in summertime it is given early sunset.

Luxury lodge set amid amazing scenery. Very friendly staff. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room with all the amenities. We stayed one night; therefore, we didn't take the tours that are offered (except for an easy stroll along the local hiking trail. Should have stayed 2 nights.

Property is amazing, facilities are awesome. Overall really good value for money.

The staff firstly need to simply be better. We enjoyed Tracy and one other lady there was wonderful that had come from the branch up in Etosha. But besides them. The rest were ill informed, helpful but simply not up to standard. They were constantly arguing and bickering at one another. This should be addressed by the manager. It’s not a deal breaker but has to be noted. Secondly the bikes, need maintenance to say the very least. Because the place is simply magnificent to ride around. Thirdly the bar down by the pool was never open. Not sure why. But with these things addresses it would get a 10/10 from me.

The views, the rooms are very big with modern furniture and amenities. The dining area and pool are spectacular.
