House of Fisher- Solstice House Apartments

The property was clean and smart. I Heating was great and everything was up to standard. Washing machine worked well and they put everything for easy use.

I still expected to see a rug in the living room or the bedroom just to make it extra cosy. Especially in winter it brings in that home away from home feeling. I also think there should be a little broom or brush and dustpan to tidy up if you wish as we stayed for 2 nights so just wanted to keep it clean for us.

Spotlessly clean, large rooms and nicely furnished. The bed was super comfortable.

The apartment is bright and airy, peaceful and conducive to working, or holding meetings in person or online. I liked the fact that they had provided a welcome pack of cereal, tea, coffee, pretzels, biscuits and milk for guests. I got a really good night's sleep here. The Guest Services staff were very responsive and helpful.

I arrived late on the Saturday evening and didn't realise that the cutlery was in a 'secret' drawer within the main drawer, so I wasn't able to find a spoon, or teaspoon until I called the Guest Services team when I returned on Sunday evening. The plug mechanism in the bath/shower didn't work, so I returned to find the bath still a third full of water and had to call Guest Services to find out how to get it fixed before I could have another shower. That's when I was told where to find the secret cutlery drawer, so that I could use a knife to try to release the plug. The bed would benefit from having a mattress protector, as it just had a thin non-fitted sheet over it, wasn't tucked in and there was a long, black hair stuck to the mattress, which also had a small blood stain near the edge. The covers on the kitchen chairs were a little worn, which wasn't a big issue, but just dented the first impression. I had to check out early owing to a last-minute meeting being scheduled in, but was charged for the full three nights. A bit of flexibility would have been welcomed in that respect.
