I’d definitely recommend this place to all travellers, and I’ll stay again.

Better thank I even expected. A modern, clean, spacious and well equipped apartment. I arrived very late at night after a delayed flight but I was sent an easy access code to get my entry card, and as a lone, female traveller, I felt very safe. The location was excellent - a choice of places for coffee and pastries just outside the building, and short walk from the city wall so I could explore and a 20 mins walk to the start of the Lucca 5k Parkrun on Saturday morning.

location near Lucca was great

Shower is too small, you can’t bend over to wash your feet. The cleaning staff didn’t replace essentials, we bought our own toilet paper. The room was not cleaned very well in between the 4 days when they changed the sheets. Didn’t like the fact that when we came to the property there was no one to greet us or to explain anything about the workings of the property i.e. We were under the impression that we would have room service for the morning which we found out that that’s really not true—this is only important for guests who have never been there before

Wonderful stay

We had a truly wonderful stay at Le Dimore del Borgo in Lucca! From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. A special mention goes to Lady Valentina at the reception, whose kindness and professionalism made a real difference. She surprised us with a free upgrade to a spacious three-room apartment, which was such a lovely gesture and made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. The apartment was beautifully maintained, with all the amenities we needed and a charming atmosphere that reflected the spirit of Lucca. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would gladly return

Perfect apartment for visiting Lucca

Very nice location 10 minutes from the city center and the owner answered and communicated very fast. And the apartment is exceptional.

Maybe the checkout time is a bit early in my opinion.

Lovely clean and bright studio just outside the walls.

Very clean, spacious, bright and modern. Despite being outside the walls with no 24x7 reception, it felt safe and secure. It was only about a 10 minute walk (1 min via a subway) before you entered the walls. Rachele was really helpful and gave us lots of advice.

The air con was not working as it apparently only comes on in summer. I was not aware of this. As a woman of a certain age, I have night sweats so I had to open all the windows and it was so noisy outside I could not sleep. Also the bed had a waterproof mattress protector which moved around even at the slightest turn. There was no minibar and the supermarket was about a 15 minute walk away.

Absolutely everything. Attentive at reception, provided with details of the area and then shown to our beautiful room. Close to city walls and main shopping area. The accommodation even provided umbrellas for the guests to use. The breakfast requested was delivered on time and was sufficient to start the day. We will be back.

I stay in romantic room. The bed is comfort, and the room is quite big. Clean and comfort. The location is strategic, not so far from the wall of Lucca.

Pristine accomodation, conveniently located only a 10 minute pleasant walk to Lucca Centre. Excellent staff, particularly Rachele. We would stay here again most definitely.

Super location - very close to the walled city and ideally located for exploring the area. Spacious, clean, extremely comfortable apartment. Valentine is a terrific host - flexible, readily available, helpful. Parking was on premise, directly under the apartment. Check-in was a breeze. We were a bit late but Valentine had organized for our arrival, keys were easy to obtain and we got in no problem. We would absolutely stay there again when back in the area!

All was terrific, no issues or concerns. Breakfast was good, but croissants without sugary icing (just plain croissants) would have been better. Hardly a concern. Just shows how good the apartment is. :) Thanks for a great stay!

The room has been fantastic. All new and modern designed; smart home applied, kitchenette and coffee machine available. Very spacious and very clean. Pity that we booked only 1 night The free parking is just in front of the property, easily accessible. We were thankful that we were able to use the parking lot before check in

The communication of the staff has a lot room for improvement. The check in has been difficult and we did not understand if this is the language barrier or the staff just wanted us to behave as they want. At check in we were asked at what time we wanted to get our breakfast served in the room. We said 9:30 and they noted 8:45. Because of the complex check in, we did not want to open another discussion. At the same time, we thought this can be when they will start preparing it. Yes, they woke us up at 8:45 with the breakfast

Staff is really kind and at they really care about their guests Apartments are really nice and comfortable, with space enough for the entire family! The kitchen is fully equipped and really helpful if your stay lasts few days.

Service was wonderful, room was spacious. Just a short walk from city walls. Hostess was very welcoming on our arrival. it was great to be able to park at the hotel.

We filled a form for breakfast on the first day that was also applied to the second day of our stay, it could be better to fill in a different form for each day. Coffee arrived cold on both days, hostess should think of a better solution.

Before discussing the accommodations, parking and the city of Lucca I would like to mention Valentina. She is a young mother, daughter, sister, wife and the owner of this property . Italy should be proud of these woman they handle so much with intelligence and grace. The apartment was spotless in a perfect location the parking was included in the back of the building. You fill out a form for breakfast at a time that works for you and it comes to your room with espresso, juice and amazing pastries! Luca is a great City something is happening every day. So far on our 9 week trip it's one of our favorite places!
