There is so much to like about this unique B&B and I really loved my stay! First off, they have the largest Harley Davidson Museum in Europe. I mean wow! That was totally cool. All the decor in the restaurant/pub and rooms reflected "the open road" and motorcycle culture, which was unexpected and totally fun! And as a bonus the museum was free for guests staying at the pension. Staff was laid back and professional. (Maybe a bit too laid back... more below). However, they really stepped up and helped me with a very early check-in due to a festival schedule, for a small fee, and I genuinely appreciate it. Rooms were very large, bathrooms too. Wonderful air conditioning which kept me cool all night, though my remote had issues (once I turned it on, I could no longer adjust temp or turn it off) and there was no one to talk to about it. Anyway, it really did its job well. Super comfy beds, a really welcome break after a long trip, with thick high quality blankets and clean, soft sheets. Blackout shades were a real treat, for which I was very grateful, and the room was nearly soundproof too. Tea pot with tea, fridge (empty), comfy chair, etc. all you need. Restaurant was huge and clean and beautifully done, and the food was spectacular: burgers, fries, steaks etc. but really high quality and well-priced. Large selection beer from their own brewery. Menus in English were clear and accurate. Awesome! Location was perfection: easy to find for the taxi after the concert, and walking distance from the train station for my next journey. Rooms were 1 min. walk from the pub. Breakfast was very large, fresh, and high quality with several options, though I'd prefer a buffet as I think most everyone does when you travel. Overall an absolutely exceptional value for the price, and a wonderful stay.

As nearly PERFECT as this stay was, there is definitely room for real improvement: 1. Most of the time, the staff was difficult to find. The restaurant was always open but usually everyone was off doing other projects. I mean, every time. Not helping customers, there weren't many on a Sunday... but just work projects around the property. Sigh. 2. Check-in took forever, and we couldn't even get a drink while we waited, after a long and brutal trip through the summer heat. They were very friendly, but it was a poor start to the stay. 3. The missing staff included breakfast, where no one was around and I had to sit and starve, with no coffee, while I waited first for someone to get to me, and then for the food to be individually prepared to order. I was the only customer there. 4. I was booked for 2 nights after a long festival weekend so I could sleep in undisturbed. But, the cleaning staff walked in around 10am anyway - without warning and with me there in my underwear - to "empty the trash" they said. C'mon... I couldn't get back to sleep and ended up just going home early 1 day early (though I paid for 2). These are small changes that would take this otherwise perfect hotel/pension to an FIRST CLASS place to stay, and I hope the management will take note and make the necessary adjustments to make this place absolutely perfect. I do look forward to another stay there in the future. :-)

Personál, lokalita, čistota, vybavení a cena

Sehr freundliches und nettes Personal. Restaurant sehr gut, Steak so gebraten wie es bestellt war. Lage ist gut, Parkplatz direkt beim Zimmer, abseits der Strasse. Zimmer sauber. Das Personal und das Restaurant beheben alle anderen Dinge, die nicht wirklich in Ordnung sind.

Zimmer: defekte Toilette (keine Deckel mehr), kein funktionierendes TV (was aber nicht wichtig ist bei einer Nacht). Spartanisch eingerichtet, was aber auch für eine Nacht für den Preis in Ordnung ist. Nur ein Handtuch.
