Escape to the country and the Lake Delavan / Lake Geneva area.
Beautiful, spacious and quiet 4 bedroom / 3 bath, 2500 square foot home on private 1 ½ acres near Delavan Lake. Perfect for families, couples or group getaway. Near the end of a private dead-end street, but close to shopping, dining and other amenities. Less than ½ mile to Lake Lawn Resort and the Lake Delavan public boat launch and park. 10 minutes to Williams Bay / Fontana and 15 minutes to Lake Geneva. Full master bath remodel in December 2022.
Two huge living spaces - formal upstairs living / dining area with nice views and beautiful new flooring, and entertainment space/family room on lower level walkout, with a huge new comfortable sectional. Two large, stately stone fireplaces, perfect for a cozy evening at home. Enjoy the outdoors on the 400+ sqft deck overlooking back yard, a campfire around the fire pit, or in the enclosed 3 season room. 7ft pool table and foosball on lower level.
4 very large bedrooms. Master bedroom has a king bed, 2nd bedroom with queen bed, 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds (all upstairs) and 4th bedroom downstairs with 2 full beds.
Home includes washer/dryer, 2 large flat screen TVs with YouTubeTV, Roku, Disney+ and Netflix streaming, Wi-Fi, linens, towels, dishwasher, coffee maker, oven, microwave, propane grill and everything for the kitchen (dishes, silverware, glasses, cookware).
Golf at one of many nearby courses. Great fishing and skiing area. 15 minutes to Alpine Valley or 20 to Kettle Moraine for great hiking / biking. We are not able to accommodate groups without at least one adult that is 25 years or older. Due to an allergy in the family, we are no longer able to allow pets at the home. I have rented vacation rentals all over the world and in the US, and I would rank this Okay, but not great. There were several nice updates of the home, and some that still need to be done. For example, all kitchen appliances have been updated, but the cupboards need a facelift, as do the front doors. If the total price had been lower, it would have been easier to overlook, but for what we paid for a weekend in the off season and in an out of the way location, I expected more based on past experiences of renting in the US. What bothered me more, however, was that the day before our stay began, I got a message saying that we should bring bottled water for drinking, and that we were permitted to use only the downstairs fireplace (it is advertised as 2 fireplaces) and with only duraflame logs or a similar more expensive type of wood. I wish the owners had been upfront about the fireplace situation (I had already purchased and packed firewood when I received the message that it couldn't be used) and about the water. I was left scrambling at the last minute making an extra trip to the store for the special firewood and bottled water. Of course, for overseas rentals you expect to have to buy bottled drinking water, but in the US it is expected that the rental will have potable water. Finally, there were no extra blankets and most beds had only sheets and a thin comforter/bedspread, so I kept waking up cold at night and my friends had the same complaint.
