Super cozy chalet, perfect for some relaxing days in the mountains!

It was a magical dream come true in an absolutely beautiful setting in a very special chalet.

The property had a wonderful wood pellet stove which kept the rooms very warm. The balcony views were amazing. Comfortable beds and furniture and a well equipped kitchen. Shops are just a train ride away. Ski resorts are close by again by train.

The property had a steep uphill climb to the station which could be difficult with suitcases.

A peaceful and beautiful honeymoon location.

We stayed at this chalet for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect place for a secluded getaway. We were well looked after by the owner of the chalet who is very friendly. He gave us lots of detailed advice on places to visit and restaurants to try. The chalet has an old, rustic feel to it but with modern comforts and good heat insulation. The decor is beautiful with very old ornaments and pictures that add to its feel. While we were there, the cooking facilities made it easy to cook our own meals, and there was a Raclette heater which we used twice to enjoy cheese fondue. The chalet is situated a walk down from the train station in Le Tretien, a small, quiet village. The views there are incredible - you can see the mountains through the large windows, and there are places to visit either by foot or by train where you can see more fantastic views. A wonderful place, very peaceful, would fully recommend.

Beautiful place to disconnect

It is a wonderful place to spend a few days without modern districtions and just enjoy calmness and nature. It’s beautifuly designed and simple yet you have all you need. The hosts are fantastic. place is magical.

Aside from the small bad things that we think could be better, the overall experience at this place was absolutely amazi

We wanted silence, nature, mountains, hiking and we got all that. Amazing surroundings and the possibility to recharge batteries.

Loved the small cave feeling which was very cozy but maybe a little too primitive to us. The bed was old school which was cool and fit Well to the design of the room but really too hard and not so comfortable. Internet issues which did not work all the time unfortunately. And we felt that tools were missing in the kitchen also. The pan should be changed- No matter what you try to put on even with a decent amount of oil it just stick to the pan and it’s very Hard to clean. Seems like the surface is not so good anymore. Last but not least I would spent some money on a more comfy wood path to the secret place two. Too much grass, the fence is bad and the small wood steps can be very slippery. Dangerous if it rains a lot or if there will be a lot of snow. For safety, easier to find and better looking. Just a suggestion :)

Perfect mountain cottage get-away.

Everything was perfect. It‘s so cozy, the stove just invites to chill in the living room, play a board game and just disconnect and relax. The hot water works without problem, and there is a pan and device to have a fondue. We will definitely come back.

Nothing. If it snows a lot, bring chains for the car :)

A lovely chalet situtated in a peaceful village, in a beautiful location.

We loved everything about the accommodation. The beautiful and peaceful location in a very quiet village. Lieu Secret is a lovely chalet with lovely features and very interesting objects around the house. We were greeted by the lady looking after the accommodation, who was very friendly and helpful, particularly in relation to the instructions for the pellet heater. We loved the fact there was no TV, but a projector with a variety of interesting films. A lovely addition to this inspiring house. The information provided by the owners before our arrival was very informative. This also included suggestions on what to do on the area. A great base for some stunning hikes in the area.

The place is very uniquely decorated with all the necessary comfort. The chalet is also perfectly located if you are traveling with public transportation, since the trainstation is only a small walk away.

Maybe a few kitchen utensils more would‘nt be a bad idea, like good cutting knives and other wine glases😉

Heaven

This was one of the nicest places we've ever stayed at. An idyllic setting in a small village up in the mountains. The studio is in the bottom part of the an old Swiss chalet and is really cute. It has all the essentials- we had a lovely patio for ourselves and could barbecue every day. Beautiful hikes all around- the 15min hike to Les Marécottes, the closest village with a shop, is magical. The staff and host were super helpful and attentive.

I loved the authenticity of the place; I could really feel and observe the personalized attention and care the owners put in; it was special and my ‘secret place’ for a few nights; a wonderful place to reconnect to the essence of life...

The neighborhood was very calm. The chalet was cozy and authentic. It was really warm during the nights.

Un vrai petit coin de paradis

Parenthèse enchantée en famille… difficile de trouver les mots tant nous avons adoré notre séjour ! Un refuge plein de charme, loin de l’agitation, où le silence et la nature enveloppent tout. Un lieu singulier, avec une vraie âme, où l’on se sent privilégiés d’être là. La station des Marécottes, toute proche, a enchanté toute la famille, chacun a trouvé son bonheur dans ce cadre magnifique et authentique. Un lieu rare, à découvrir et à garder précieusement.

Échappée hors du temps dans une cabane de trappeurs, dans le calme des montagnes Suisses

Le calme, la vue sur le versant de la montagne d'en face et ses sapins... 🤩 Voir depuis notre petit balcon les coureurs de la Suisse Peaks descendre les sentiers de la montagne d'en face, la nuit à la frontale.... C'était incroyable ! Le petit panier depuis le balcon pour se descendre des petits encas, petit dej et autre grâce à une poulie jusqu'à la petite terrasse . Regarder "Les bronzés font du ski" Sur grand écran 😂 L'authenticité et l'ancienneté du lieu.... Et mention spéciale pour le goût de toute la déco... On se croirait dans une grande cabane de trappeur, juste magique, on se sent comme dans une autre époque, tout avait tellement de charme. La petite mezzanine tellement belle avec sa rambarde en bois brut de bouleau.. 🤩 Bref, tout était parfait.

Pas grand chose... Peut-être de ne pas avoir pris une nuit en plus. 🤷🏽‍♀️
