casa Ciclopi

Tre notti passate a Casa Ciclopi. Appartamento spazioso e pulito in uno stabile in centro ad Aci Trezza, con bellissima terrazza veramente a picco sul mare, equipaggiata con due sdraio, tenda, tavolo e anche un posto macchina nel seminterrato (per auto piccole). Cucina ben fornita, letto confortevole. bagno ok. Silvio, la persona che ci ha accolto, è stato gentilissimo, disponibilissimo e prodigo di informazioni. Attraversata la strada c'è anche un supermercato ber fornito.

L'ingresso e le parti esterne dello stabile dovrebbero essere più pulite. Non è un problema imputabile a Casa Ciclopi, ma comunque le cassette postali colme di pubblicità non ritirata non sono belle da vedere.

1) Very large terrace, with a view of a small peninsula on the left, the sea in the middle, and the cliffs of Acitrezza rising from the sea on the right. The sound of the sea from the terrace is very pleasant and soothing 2) There is an underground garage under the apartment building. The apartment has its own parking space in the underground garage 3) The host organized a very pleasant guided tour of Etna for us, combined with a wine tasting.

1) When booking, the filter criteria was that it was close to the beach. ' ...with a private beach area.' - you can read it on the site. The apartment is a few meters from the sea, there is a landing to a pier, from there you can enter the water via iron - stairs. But the landing was boarded up, and the pier and stairs could not be used. You can go into the sea next to it, tripping over large stones and rocks. We tried to go into the water in 15-20 centimeter waves. Two of the four of us had bleeding knees as the waves slammed their knees against the rock. We did not try to go to the beach here anymore... 2) the apartment is depreciated both architecturally and in terms of its furnishings - this is not visible in the photos. The photos do NOT reflect reality. 3) The cleanliness was not suitable. 4) There was a smell of tobacco smoke in the kitchen.

The flat was not ready- no toilet paper, remote for garage gate had a dead battery- and it was Easter so shops were closed, an old layer of dust/ dirt on the terrace , table, chairs , awful stench - mold? in the flat- we kept the windows open for 4 days and still it lingered, dirty quilt on the washing machine , old dirt - mold again the in corners of the bathroom, no tv set, the trash bins lacked the lids and there were only 2 of them despite an elaborate description how to dispose the trash, the description of the flat on booking. com didn’t say that there were 2 different flats therefore the pictures were misleading, the flat was not 130 m - 60 m was all you got. Possibly the other flat was better. The stairs leading to the flat - dirty- you had to try hard to avoid ghe birds guano. The couch in the living room was old used and uncomfortable. The shower had just 1 option - shower from the top. The only highlight was the terrace with a great view.
