Great location! I loved that it was right on the beach. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was comfortable and restaurant has reasonable prices. Tuk Tuks were easily available outside to visit other places. Very good breakfast

The resort’s location was magical, tucked away from the crowded areas with an unbeatable beach area right outside our room. We loved being right on the water, with easy, safe swimming spots.

While the room's design is positive, the small size has limited walking space and can be uncomfortable entering and exiting the room. I felt very uncomfortable with the steep stairs, I’d describe them that, others might not, which can contribute to an increased risk of missteps, falls, injuries and can be fatal.

The room I booked was actually in a small villa away from the main hotel rooms and the reception. Trees and vegetation surrounded my accommodation.

The condition of the resort's facilities is not optimal. I noticed poor maintenance in most buildings I visited. For example, the first villa I was assigned (called A-Frame) had no hot water. Furthermore, both this villa and the second one I was forced to move to (called Maya) had bedrooms upstairs (therefore accessible only by steep stairs). The first villa didn't have a bathroom on the same floor as the bedroom, so I had to go downstairs to get to the bathroom (not very practical). The air conditioning in the second villa (called Maya) didn't work well (it was very weak), and there were no curtains on the bedroom windows because it was under renovation (so the staff told me). However, the staff offered me another villa (with mirrors instead of glass), which I declined, although the air conditioning worked better, but the hot water wasn't up to par, in my opinion. I think all the maintenance should have been done before my arrival, but I had to wait a whole day before they found me a functioning accommodation. Therefore, on my first evening, I had to shower in another villa where the hot water was working. Other services provided: two small swimming pools, but decent. Forget about their gym: the facilities are really bad there. Nice tennis courts with available instructors. There is also a diving center. Finally, the restaurant doesn't offer many vegan options (slightly better for vegetarians), especially if you plan to dine at the resort. Fortunately, the chef was flexible with my requests, but the menu was quite repetitive day after day. If I had to find one final flaw, it would be that, after checking out and waiting three hours on the resort's beach for my flight to Nairobi, I asked to use a changing room before going to the airport, but it was only available in the cramped luggage storage area. I think the staff could have easily arranged this service to make my final hours of stay more enjoyable.
