Unnecessarily disappointing experience

Great location, right at the pebble beach and close proximity to restaurants. Good beach bar with solid choice of snacks and drinks. Very good stay at 5-person mobile home. 4-people mobile homes equally new and clean. Overall camping site lacks Italian aesthetics, compared to other sites in the area, with cars parking right in front of houses/tents and quite messy in terms of visual arrangement.

The staff. Seemingly quite friendly. Hard to judge their effort as level of English does not allow the team to handle requests other than your name at the check-in. Small inconveniences that would be no big deal if occasional, regrettably the experience built up. No towels provided at mobile homes. 4 people family with teenagers requested a set, received two bath towels and two hand towels. No dishwashing liquid, no dishwashing sponge. No bin bags. Just make a U-turn after your long journey and stop at the nearest supermarket before coming back. At request provided with the dishwashing set and ONE garbage bag. And a coloured instruction how to sort garbage using yellow, green and brown bags. LOL. Total hypocrisy about ecology and little effort that costs 2EUR (5EUR with a dishwashing set) but could leave guests with entirely different first impression. Last but not least. We had to leave 6:00am. The office does not open before 8:30. On the preceding evening I did the check out. House checked for the deposit, entry cards returned, all set. I was advised to park the car outside the site as the car gate closes after 11:00 pm and doesn’t open before 7:00 am. We were advised to leave on foot. To our surprise at 6:00 am in the morning the pedestrian gate was locked, and so was the car gate. No one around. We had to jump over a 2 meter high fence to be sure we do not miss out next arrangement. I wrote a message to the Camping team checking what possibly could have gone wrong in translation but a week passes by and they have not managed to respond. Overall quite disappointing. Also just think, how you would get out of the site if any emergency happens in the middle of the night.

Friendly hosts and a quiet, dog-friendly location made our stay great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Camping Porto. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right from the start. The mobile home was located in a quiet area with good privacy thanks to natural shading. We loved walking along the beautiful lakeside promenade, which leads all the way to Manerba, where there's a dog-friendly beach. There are also two spacious dog parks in Manerba, just a 6–8 minute drive away, which was great for our dog. We also appreciated that there were several affordable and good restaurants nearby, and despite being high season, the area wasn’t crowded with tourists, which made for a relaxed atmosphere.

The equipment in the mobile home was rather minimal – for example, we missed having wine glasses. There were also quite a lot of mosquitoes around the accommodation, so we’d recommend bringing repellent. Lastly, the nearby main road (SP572) had heavy traffic throughout the day, which could be heard at times.

La réservation sur Booking n’est pas en phase avec le logement que nous avons eu sur place. Au lieu d’avoir un mobilehome, c’était détente qui nous attendaient en envoyant cela. Nous sommes allés à l’accueil et merci aux personnels du camping qui ont bien voulu, modifier, afin que l’on puisse avoir un mobilehome vs des tentes!!!

Die Wc Anlage ist Altmodisch und gehört erneuert. Die Wc sind im alten Italienischen Style gebaut und man muss im stehen alle Geschäfte verrichten.

Schöner, kleiner, ruhiger Platz mit vielen italienischen Dauercampern

Die Lage ist für Ruhesuchende und zum Entspannen wunderbar, ab vom großen Gardaseetourismus in einem kleinen Ort ist dieser Campingplatz einer mit vielen italienischen Dauercamper und einigen wenigen Mobile Homes. Für Kinder gibt es den kleinen sauberen Pool auf dem Platz oder den Gardasee direkt vor der Tür. Diverse Bars und Restaurants sind direkt am Ufer in Laufnähe. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, konnten deutlich vor der offiziellen Check In Zeit unser Mobile Home beziehen und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Rezeption ist von morgens bis abends besetzt und immer ansprechbar, wenn es ein Problem gibt (zB Strom weg, weil zu viele Geräte auf einmal laufen 🫣) Vor allem die tolle Verdunklung in allen Zimmern hat beim erholsamen Schlafen geholfen. Ebenso die inkludierte Klimaanlage. Einzig am Geschirr hat uns die ein oder andere Kleinigkeit wie zB kleine Schüsseln für Snacks und Müsli gefehlt. Und nicht alle Pfannen haben auf dem nagelneuen Induktionsherd funktioniert, aber wir konnten trotzdem, bei abgeschaltet Klimaanlage (!!!), unsere Nudeln kochen. 😊 Das Mobile Home ist exakt für 4 Personen ausgestattet.

Locatie is mooi. In de mobile home een grote koel/ vries combinatie wat erg fijn van.

Mobile home is ontzettend klein.Bed waar je over heen moet klimmen om erin te kunnen komen.Want om het bed heen amper sta ruimte. Bij aankomst moesten we 300 euro cash betalen voor borg ( wat volgens mij amper de waarde van de caravan is) En 20 euro pp voor een toegangs bandje. Keuken zonder ontbijt bordjes , wijn glazen, broodrooster of waterkoker. Geen starter setje om de eerste dag even een afwasje te kunnen doen, Geen supermarkt of bakkertje om een broodje te halen. Geen internet. Zwembad ondanks de hitte nog gesloten op 31 mei,

Sehr sauber, geräumig und direkt am See. Platz selbst sehr ruhig gelegen. Blick auf den See

Leider sehr ruhige Seite des Gardasees … Fußläufig nicht so zentral wie andere Gardaseeseite. Pool war geschlossen und leider wenige Informationen vorab zum Platz. Zugangacode nachts wurde uns kocht mitgeteilt usw. WLAN nur gegen Bezahlung
