Great location, just outside Porta Settimiana gate into Trastevere proper. Not far from Vatican and many other tourist attractions. This was my third stay in Trastevere and I quite enjoyed staying slightly outside the main bustle of the district, but still close. Pretty view of the Tiber River and over the rooftops, although the rooftops terrace is neglected. Lovely spot for morning coffee. Staff we dealt with were all very pleasant and friendly.

This apartment is very worn and in need of fresh paint and minor repairs, like cupboard doors not sliding properly. The bathroom has a serious case of black mould, which I let the owner know about and am told it will be seen to. The overhead shower didn't work, but the hand-held was fine. The blue sofa in the photos was missing and the white one is very old and uncomfortable as a sofabed. Because of this set-up, there isn't anywhere to sit and unwind in the apartment, aside from barstools in the kitchen. There are 80 or so stairs up to the apartment, with a further 15 or so inside. This may be a problem for some.

Artistically and cheerfully decorated. It was quite convenient to visit tourist sites from there. The kitchen was well equipped. Large scenic rooftop terrace. The owner was eager to assist with any problem. All in all a cheerful place.

Many steps up from street door to the top floor apartment - no problem for us, but could be annoying for others. The street in front of the house was quite busy. The furniture apart from the kitchen has seen better years. There were steps all over the place, especially leading up to the bed. Could be dangerous if you get up quickly at night.
