The Lazy Dog is a beautifully updated and spacious coastal retreat located in the desirable Whalehead Beach community of Corolla. This open and airy six bedroom home offers panoramic coastal views, thoughtful upgrades throughout, and plenty of room for the whole family to relax and reconnect. With three master suites and five full bathrooms, plus sheets and towels provided, every detail is designed for comfort and convenience.
Recent improvements include fresh interior paint, new bedroom and family room furnishings, updated master bathroom vanities, new toilets, and flat screen TVs with Roku and the Spectrum app for cable television. Guests will also enjoy new poolside seating, lounge chairs, a 12 foot cantilever Sunbrella umbrella with lighting, and a new grill for outdoor dining.
The updated kitchen features shaker style cabinetry, beautiful quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, a tile backsplash, and a spacious island that is perfect for gathering. The top floor living areas showcase luxury plank flooring, fresh paint, updated furnishings, and a dry bar, creating a welcoming space for entertaining or unwinding after a day at the beach. The recreation room with shuffleboard offers additional fun for guests of all ages, while the king master suite features a private Jacuzzi for added relaxation.
Enjoy partial ocean views from the top deck and living room, relax on the expansive decks, and take in refreshing coastal breezes and beautiful sunrises. Spend quality time poolside with convenient access to a ground level full bathroom, prepare meals at the grilling station, or enjoy a game of basketball. The beach is just a short walk away, perfect for swimming, building sandcastles, or simply relaxing by the shore. The family dog is welcome to join your vacation as well.
The Lazy Dog is conveniently located near Corolla's beautiful beaches, local shopping, restaurants, and popular attractions including the Whalehead Club and the Currituck Lighthouse. Guests are also close to the four wheel drive area where they can explore scenic coastal landscapes and experience the famous wild horses.

My family (son, daughter, their spouses, and two teenage girls, and the dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lazy Dog. The kitchen is very well equipped , there's plenty of seating for a large group, and space to spread out. Access to the beach is only a short walk away, and the beach itself is great with a gradual drop before reaching a large sandbar -- perfect for wave riding. The lot is much bigger than average, providing play space for the dog. And the pool is beautiful. All in all, a great stay.

A fun week at Lazy Dog. Enjoyed the house, pool and hot tub. Quick walk to the surf. House could use some deck furniture and more pool seating. Kitchen fridge could be updated for a larger model. Otherwise a great stay.

Affordable and Dog Friendly but Bare Bones. WIFI so slow that we could only read emails in the morning. No streaming possible. They had cable but only local channels. Plenty of room, close to the beach. Was able to bring my dog and got to see all my kids from four states without going to the poor house.
