Mixed bag: Location:10/10, apartment: 4/10, service:1/10.

Location: this is an easy 10 out of 10. Really nice area, really nice view. Excellent. Unfortunately fell short on the service from the agency and the apartment itself (see below). But it is a beautiful location, and wonderful to be able to spend the evenings looking over the water. But please see below. The location is the only positive. So in short. Location:10, apartment: 4, service:1.

Only stay here if you are after the view! Below are 3 points that really annoyed us, and may annoy you: a) The agency that handles the keys were not great, and watch out that they close at 17.30. All they seemed to care about was booking 500EUR in deposit, and of course only seemed to speak French (which my wife luckily does too). The forgot to tell us that there is a street cast-iron gate that closes at 10pm, but forgot to give us the key. We realized that when walking back from a restaurant, and we could not get in (we thought we had house keys and a street key - not realizing we were missing the 2nd street key). Luckily we managed to get through a restaurant's back door and get to the street door where we had the key. This is obviously totally unacceptable that we did not get the key or was told about a back entrance (the house has a back entrance where they key works, but that would have been nice to know). Again the priority of the agency was to collect their deposit. Another fun fact about the incompetency of the agency is they did not say which floor the flat is at. So we entered a building, trying the key in different doors. Would have been nice to know or have some sign on the door. Again the priority of the agency was to collect their deposit. b) There apartment was definitely not clean. It is huge, and I doubt it gets cleaned regularly. There are no products to clean, and no vacuum. The balcony even had jars with old food that someone left, and whoever 'inspected' the cleanliness after the previous tenant obviously did not see this. Amazing to find decomposed food in jars in the sun. One positive about the apartment is the kitchen is well equipped, in fact perhaps too much. Lots of pots and pans, old Tupperware, feels like coming into a messy person's home. c) Parking is painful, but comes with the location. It is only free on weekends, and you have to pay between 8-19. So in short. Location:10, apartment: 4, service:1.
